We went in late August, so the place was packed, but we only has to wait about 25 minutes for a table outside (the wait was much shorter to eat inside). Though the place was overcrowded, my chair kept bumping into the chair of the person behind me every time I moved, the atmosphere was still nice. What you come for is the food, and the food was great! The lobster, though tough to crack, was delicious and moist. I thought about getting a salad since they come in these massive tortilla shells...but I live in South Carolina and couldn't pass up a chance for fresh lobster. They're only open 3 months out of the year, but I recommend stopping by!

The only restaurant on the ocean beach! the Beachcomber is as casual as it gets. People wander in into the tent covered bar area for quick lunch and drinks, or into the old building for lunch. A shirt over your bathing suit is all that is required and there is often live music. It is mostly a young crowd.

A Federal lifesaving station was bought in 1953 and turned into the Beachcomber Inn. When JFK created the Cape Cod National Seashore in 1961, this private business was grandfathered in and allowed to stay. The current owners bought it in 1978. We ate there twice for lunch in August while enjoying the beach. Several people in our group ate at the raw bar while waiting for the rest of the order for the 7+ of us. I was told the raw bar was delicious but a bit pricy. The children's portions are very big and very reasonably priced. I had the grilled tuna tacos once ($15.99). I'd recommend staying away from the deep fried items such as the fried clams as they looked heavily battered.

The people that took our take out orders were very friendly and helpful and once gave us guacamole on our orders for free.

Parking costs $20 per car, and you can use the payment toward your meal or for merchandise (mostly clothing) at the store. If you want to park at the lot near the restaurant, get there at 10 when it opens on the weekend as it fills up quickly. There is another lot about a mile away with a shuttle, but the credit does not apply.

When you order take out from the outside window, there is also free water available.

Alcoholic drinks cannot be taken from the restaurant down to the beach.

The restaurant opens at 11:30 and that includes take out. Free water is available from the staff when ordering a meal and containers are provided (when asked for) which hold four drinks.

This place is right next to the ocean. We got there a little late but customers can walk down a steep bank to the beach while waiting or just to look around. The restaurant is beach casual, with an indoor bar, and a deck bar that is open but protected from the weather. Wood floors, video games in the indoor bar, stage area (tables removed after dinner), raw bar, all make for nice atmosphere.
Went here on a weekday evening with a party of 8 at about 7:30 PM so we were a little after the dinner hour. We waited for about 45 min for a table but found room at one of the bars and got some drinks. Also the 'raw' bar is right near the bar and we got some oysters as well, making the wait go quickly. This place is loud, crowded and enjoyable once you get used to the noise.
Once seated, the waiter was very good and efficient, getting us another round and bringing the food with no hitches. I had tuna tacos which were good and sampled some clam strips which were also good, and plentiful. Nothing too fancy but nice portions at a reasonable price.
The raw oysters were great, and even better were the Scampi mussels which was steamed mussels with a butter, garlic, wine sauce poured over them. Best mussels I've ever had, nice and plump with no grit, the sauce was really good as well.
By the time we finished eating the live entertainment was just starting in the lounge area and sounded pretty good.
