A little disappointed that they chose to close the only restaurant/bar on a Friday night when we wanted to hang out there. But once they knew how disappointed we were they offered to drive us in the house car a few times to make it up to us. The staff was very friendly. The room was very, very nice. The one night we were able to visit the bar, the drinks were exceptional.
Overall, we had an amazing time at the FS Downtown. The room and bathroom were massive and absolutely beautiful. The staff were all so helpful and kind. The only reason for deducting 1 star was because the front desk asked us when we wanted turn down service, but they never ended up coming. Seemed odd for a 5 star hotel considering they specifically asked about timing. The TV in our bathroom was also broken (which was subsequently fixed), and our mini fridge also didn’t work. All in all though, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Since my childhood, I have always enjoyed going to the Four Seasons Hotels; without any question it is one of the best chains of hotels in the world! The service is always phenomenal and whenever I arrive at the New York location, the staff always remember me and always look after me like a member of the family.

Good location for Lower Manhattan sightseeing, events, restaurants. Rooms are clean and spacious. The remolded gym is great with new equipment. Spa needs a dry sauna (as do most 4 seasons). Food is good but only at Cut (restaurant downstairs).

I have to agree with the recent review that says the service is not comparable to what is expected from FS. I am currently staying and I don’t know that I’ve ever had to contact housekeeping as many times as I have. I requested no turndown service so no housekeeping was done. I requested cleaning and items that were on the floor were placed at the head of the bed. My requested extra sheet for prayer was removed and I had to request it again. Messages are not read promptly. It took long enough to receive that I was late. A hair tool left on the vanity was placed on the bottom shelf. Hand soap was not refilled. Perhaps others are fine with this, but I don’t find that there is attention to the details that matter.
