Owner description: Grand Central Terminal is the most extraordinary public space in New York City. Opened to the public in 1913, this historic train terminal is a world-famous landmark in Midtown. Its rich history is a story of immense wealth and great engineering. Grand Central is one of the busiest train stations in the world, with approximately 750,000 visitors every day. It is the home of Metro-North Railroad, a subway station, iconic restaurants, shops, and the world's most alluring Apple Store. Some of the highlights to see along your tour of Grand Central include the opal-faced clock, valued at $20 million, above the Information Booth, the Largest Tiffany Glass Clock in the World below the 48-foot, 1500-ton Transportation statue overlooking 42nd Street at Park Avenue, and the mystifying acoustics of the Whispering Gallery in front of the Oyster Bar and Restaurant. Audio and guided tours are available for those with a passion for history. More information regarding tours and ways to plan your visit can be found on the Grand Central Terminal website.

You dont have to catch a train just come for something to eat or marvel at the spectacular architecture. Jackie Onassis help to save this building or it would have gone the way of Penn Station. What a wonderful legacy.

A lot of history here. Beautiful architecture, ornate. Just a beautiful place to visit. Check out the burgers at the Shake Shack, pretty good. Lots of shops, lotsa places to eat, lotsa people! Good place to visit. I'd say it's a must see!

A working railway terminal but it is a fantastic building, not to be missed. Having been told it was worth a visit I was blown away by the grandeur, also liked to see all the foods on offer in the central market.

The terminal is quite big with many interesting things to see. However, plan on spending an hour or so as you will miss out if you do not have enough time to soak in the atmosphere and to take some pictures. Please note that the light can make it difficult to take good pictures inside so would recommend taking your best camera.

Step through the doors and see how many films spring into your mind seeing this station. Definitely worth visiting and even riding a train which is a cheap way to travel around this massive city
