Covid has created a very different but special Guggenheim. Do not expect the same crowd and large exhibits. Check the website carefully. That said, when we walked in, we were treated to dim lighting and an extraordinary opera. performance and grand piano. Jackson Pollock’s Mural was on exhibition. Quick 2 hours, but lovely. Fills a county girl’s soul with the arts.

The Guggenheim is an iconic symbol of New York City. It is one of the most enduring designs of celebrated American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It is stunning; it is one of the world's most striking buildings; it's an art gallery that's a work of art in itself. The exhibits are a mix of Modernism and Contemporary art. At the moment, Jackson Pollock's Mural is on show. Pollock was a master of Action Painting; this Mural is rarely seen. It is quite a steep walk as you progress to the top, but is is worth it.

The first impression of the building is stunning, loved the architectural impression so iconic. We went pre covid so sorry if this doesnt apply anymore. Like many great art museums you really need to do research before you go or its too ovewhelming. Pick what you want to see, learn a bit about it and then its more meaningful. On the way out loved the museum store, spend ages looking around in here.

This museum stands out from others due to its iconic building and touring experience. You usually start the exhibitions on the top floor and work your way down, in circles, until you reach the ground floor. It’s a different experience which I definitely recommend - on top the exhibits are from well known artists.

Architect Frank Lloyd Wright creasted a masterpiece when he designed the Guggenheim. The Guggenhiem is a showcase for Modernism, both in its construction and collection. Most people iteresedt in art will be familiar with this unique building. It's in Museum Mile, on 5th Avenue, adjacent to Central Park.
