Our family all had colds on our recent trip to NY. We went specifically for the pho and we were not dissappointed. This was hands down the best pho we ever had. We also started with the salt and pepper squid and that was heavenly as well. Very reasonable prices too.

We had planned to go to another restaurant but the line was long so we happened upon Cha Pas. The Thai Ice Tea was a nice start to our dining experience. We ordered the Pork Vermacelli bowl and House Fried Rice. Both were delicious. Server was attentive, establishment was clean and menu had good variety - prices very reasonable for the city. We will return when we are back in NYC.

Enough with NYC restaurants trying to make a profit in a city where real estate is destroying the quality of life. Yet another casualty.
This restaurant actually has tasty food but the price to portion ratio is infuriating and ridiculous! A bowl of Pho, 3/4 of the way filled (but tasty). A plat of rice with one tiny, pounded Lemongrass Pork Chop (but tasty). And so on, and so on, and so on.
The other infuriating thing about this restaurant is the noise they play on the radio. Every once in a while an actual song comes on but too much hip-hop and rap. How anyone can digest food to that noise is beyond me. I can barely chew. It's absolutely maddening at high decibels! This is an eatery; not a bus stop!
After three visits to this restaurant (and really going out of my way to get there because I don't live in the neighborhood) I've had more disappointment than satisfaction so, unfortunately, I won't be back. And I have a feeling the fault is the rent and lack of understanding about how to create a restaurant business where people can enjoy a meal.

Went for pre-theater food and thoroughly enjoyed (location was perfect coming from 54th and 8th). The pork belly bun was very good, and the ginger clay pot chicken had a great taste. Beer and wine only, very quick service, and inexpensive.
