Description: Petit Poulet offers both locals and tourists a journey into the finest of French cuisine. Inside our kitchens, you'll find our chefs expertly crafting favorites like French Onion Soup, Beef Tartar, Escargot, and Rotisserie Cornish Hen. Our selective menu truly samples the best of the different regions in France, and we've worked hard to source the best ingredients to bring out the best flavors in our masterpieces. Walk into a quaint bistro, with warm wood walls, mosaic tile floors and a classic Parisian tin ceiling. For a moment, you won't believe that you didn't need a plane ticket to get here. In the same sense, our wine selection is an expert assortment of the finest French wines, almost exclusively. The wines are the perfect compliment to your meal, or great on their own. At the Petit Poulet, you won't find an average Bistro, you'll find a gateway into the best of French cuisine.

This restaurant missed the mark on so many levels. First, service was slow, uninspired and inattentive. I ordered two different bottles of wine and they were out or couldn't find it, still tried a third time and received no apologies. Our appetizer of pomme frites took 16 minutes to come out and our entrees almost 45 minutes thereafter which isn't too bad. I had the beef bourguignon and it smelled and looked amazing and properly prepared but the ingredients were not quality. The beef was chewy, fatty and some pieces were simply hard. My friend got the roasted 1/2 chicken and that was really good. The atmosphere is French bistro chic and would've been lovely if everything else had fallen into place. If you go for cheese and wine, may be best even though they don't have a ton of French selections.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Petit Poulet. We decided to eat here when our flight was delayed (we'd been staying in the attached Radisson Martinique), and I'm delighted we did!

Everything was excellent - stellar service, good location, quiet and bright. Lovely wine, exceptional meals (the duck cassoulet was on par with a similar dish we had in a tiny Parisian restaurant), delicious mousse for dessert.

Highly recommend!

Heard about this restaurant from a friend who gave us the recommendation. We booked for our trip to NYC and went here on the evening of my birthday. The food was gorgeous, wine lovely and service fantastic. Would highly recommend the duck!

We needed a restaurant in mid-town, close by Penn Stn and centrally located. After having to wade through scaffolding on the pavement, which did prevent any pleasant outside views, we were so happily surprised (and relieved) at our choice! The ambiance was delightful and the reception most warm and inviting. Our wait staff were knowledgeable and pleasant and our food was delicious. Three of us ordered the house salad with a tasty dressing, the 4th person ordered Asian Chicken Wings, which, although very good, could have served all 4 of us! Suggest a share! The entrees of Coq au Vin, with a variety of vegetables, and Steak Frites were both very good. Lots of food at a fair price and th ambiance very special! We'll definitely be back!
