Description: Keens Steakhouse, a classic New York chophouse, was already famous for its steaks and chops at the turn of the century. Founded in 1885, Keens has 90,000 clay pipes that line the ceilings – pipes once smoked by customers after dinner. Today Keens legendary mutton chops and dry aged prime steaks are still without equal in the city.

Fantastic steakhouse. Very traditional New York style steakhouse. Great meat and wine. Great before and after a show depending on your schedule. Highly suggest in midtown. One of the best in the city.

Keens Steakhouse has long been on my list of destinations I needed to visit in NYC, and it did not disappoint. While the dining room has a very Scottish feel, I opted to eat at the bar since I as solo. The lump crab meat appetizer was very fresh and tasty. The prime rib was excellent and the baked potato was perfect compliment.

The bar has an amazing line up of single malt scotches along with almost every appertif and digestique you can name. The wait staff was attentive, timely and very helpful in choosing a great flight of Speyside scotches.

I will return.

This was a choice of my wife. Wow a Steak House based on British middle class tummies. Started as a private club for Actors nest to Garrick theater. Inside one travels back 120 years to the Grandeur of late Victoria Edwardian Period was fantastic. The food was incredible and very reasonable. prices
