While doing a shopping trek across Madison Av, we stopped into Via Quadroona for 2 quick salads served with NY water.
The bill just about $20. This is a little Italian cafe.
Salads, quick paninis, and the salads served with freshly grated thin slabs of cheese ! Wonderful!
It’s a little tight seating, but good people watching, fast, with courteous service

This is a tiny place that seems always to be full, so I was delighted they could squeeze me in. I was doing a full museum day and needed a little outdoor exercise, and this is just the right distance from the Met. Everything on the menu looks good, and my primavera panini was just right.

We came here after walking around all day at the Met. Inexpensive places are hard to come by near the Met besides hot dog carts and small food trucks. There were six of us and we got a spot in the back. The place looks small up front, but they have a back section that dips down and opens up a bit. The ambiance was nice and it felt like an old school shop. I got the La Madunina panini with mozzerella, black olive, tomato and prosciutto. All the sandwiches came out super fast! We had barely gotten our drinks. We couldn't believe it. One of us got the pasta special and we were impressed. Nice chunks of tomato. Sauce had a lot of flavor. The bread on the panini was hot and crunchy. The prosciutto was a little chewy. Every time I took a bite, a big chunk would come out. That is my only complaint. Everyone else seemed very happy with their choices. It was pretty crowded for around 3 PM. Our waiter was very nice and attentive.

The worst rip off of our whole trip! Arriving exhausted at Frick Collection ....oh ..no restaurant in museum. Looking desperately for a close place to eat sth as we had an appointment inside the museum. Via Quadronno is close. Five really awful panini...like bad industrial white read and one and a half slice of jam...Just love and careless...value may be 50 Cent. Five Pannini , two beers and to diet cokes including tip for 120 dollars. Hands up- this ia an assault!

I have been to Via Quadronno twice, both times after visiting one of the museums nearby. The sandwiches (singular: panino; plural: panini) are great, and the ambiance is the best - it is a cozy place and fills up quickly, but both times we were there, we got a table pretty quickly.
