I stayed here for just one night and would stay here again for sure. The hotel was pack with a lot of groups but my room was quiet. Just what you would expect from a Hilton...nothing outstanding...just a clean, safe, very functional hotel. And the location is a plus!

These are the things leading me t a 5:
- the location is fabulous; half way between Times Square and Central Park
- the hotel uses Peter Thomas Roth toiletries which is a true luxury for me
- the staff, including the cleaners, the desk and security are very helpful, and respectful of teenage visitors. The hotel works with teachers to provide a good experience for everyone.

These are the things leading me to a 3:
- room temperature is hard to control; it seems like a 1 degree change on the thermostat lead to me either shivering or sweating
- the windows need either replaced or re-insulated; it was hard to fall asleep with the amount of traffic noise that got through
- the beds and the bedding were far from first class
- the common areas of the conference facilities need furniture for informal group collaboration

We have stayed in this hotel multiple times when attending conferences in the city. The location is convenient to the subway, museums, and so forth. In the past we have booked a standard room (as we did this time); however, we arrived late and as a member of Hilton Honors were imediately upgraded to an executive room for a slight additional fee. Included with this upgraded room is a private lounge where breakfast, coffee, light snacks, and Internet are provided. Access to a coffee machine (all day), buffet breakfast (fruit, cereal, and pastries), and Internet more than paid for the upgrade charge.

Our only complaints about the hotel are that it is showing signs of wear and tear and the walls are a little thin. The bathroom in our room needed paint, carpet in the hall was a bit worn (being replaced the day after we left), and shrill voices of children in an adjacent room could be plainly heard.

Check-in and check-out for Hilton Honors is a breeze. The front desk workers --with the exception of one lady who was having a bad day--was polite and effecient.

Room Tip: Book online and mark that you will accept an upgraded room for a small fee ($29 per night), although...

I found this hotel was only concerned with getting you to sign up for their frequent guest service. I was offered free internet or free use of the gym (really!! 15.00 for the gym) if I gave up one day of housekeeping. I took internet service as this was a buisness trip. The internet service was pretty much unusable and it was extremely frustrating to have to go to the lobby for interent. The elevators were slow. The real agravation was the last two days when the hotel had a seminar of some sorts that involved hundreds of teens. They clogged the elevators getting on the up when they wanted to go down and vice versa. The slow elevators became unusable as they were always full of the teenagers. One day after waiting 20 minutes to get on I resorted to just walking down the 13 flights. This hotel was only two blocks from my office, but I am not sure I would use it again.

We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed your guest room, but sorry to hear that you experienced frustrations while trying to gain access to the Internet, and that the conference attendance during your stay affected your use of the elevators. We will be reaching out to you privately to see how we might rectify your experience with us and earn your repeat business.

Good hotel to stay in New York. A lot of good restaurants nearby. Rooms very large enough, especially compared to some other I have stayed in. Also price for NY was reasonable.
