We head to New York at least once a year just for a night or two to see a show. This was one of the best places that we’ve stayed. We upgraded our room the day before our trip to something a little bit bigger and it was well worth it (most standard rooms in New York are tiny). The rest was clean, modern, and very well appointed. The bathroom and shower were huge and seemed to have been renovated very recently. Great restaurant/bar options in the building as well.

RC Boston, we appreciate your wonderful review. I'm honored to hear that The Knickerbocker joined the list of your top hotels in the city. I'm pleased that your room had everything you needed for a comfortable stay and that you had a chance to enjoy Charlie Palmer and St. Cloud. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.

This is a great hotel. Top quality rooms, quiet, lovely staff and right in the heart of Times Square and Midtown.

Thanks to Paula for making our stay particularly special.

Any negatives? If you haven't already paid for breakfast you should go elsewhere.

Room Tip: We chose an upper floor room for quietness.

The Knickerbocker was AMAZING!
It was our first time in NYC and you can't ask for a better spot- it's right by Times Square and walking distance to Central Park and surrounding sights to see.
We're going back in July and staying at the Knickerbocker Hotel again.
Their rooftop patio is amazing and overlooks the great ball drop of new years.
Highly recommend this hotel!

Awesome location. Room was excellent, breakfast was good although you must allow extra time as it is alacarte not buffet. The servers at dinner in the restaurant were not as helpful as the breakfast crew and night room service was delivered cold and late. They initially tried to pretend there was no problem. Only when I rang to provide feedback did they concede they knew what they sent up was cold. Odd service for a high end hotel. I suspect whoever is running the restaurant at night is letting the rest of the excellent team down.

Room Tip: My room was facing the street but the noise wasn’t too bad and the blind blocks out light completely. I was on level 3 below their bar on level 4 and the noise/music above could be heard in the hallway but not in my room.
