Our first visit to New York, recommended to use the Metro and we were not disappointed. Great location, lovely and clean and very comfortable. Breakfast being included was a great plus and all we wanted.Coffee on tap all day also saved a few dollars! Room served our needs ideally (only in it to sleep).Maybe they could do something about noise reduction but hey, in the centre of New York a bit of noise is expected. Anyway after a hard day doing the sights, we slept pretty well!

When we hopefully return to New York, the Metro is where we will stay.

Stayed here per Christmas rush in 2012. The location is fantastic- between 5th and 6th avenue and very near Broadway and Times Square. Moreover it's just a block from the Empire State Building and we had a great review of that from our room (view also great from their top floor terrace). The room (premium king) was big enough for us with our bags and the bathroom, though not spacious was just fine - especially as it had a 3-headed shower. We had asked them to hold some packages that we got sent to the hotel prior to our arrival and they were very accommodating about this- and always answered my emails in a timely and informative manner. Breakfast is included but is just juice, cereals and pastries (muffins etc.) as well as some fresh fruit and yogurts. This was enough for us but if you fancy more there's plenty on offer nearby (though obviously not included). Overall we were thrilled with the location and comfort of this place. It's recently renovated and they're trying hard to be up there with the more expensive/ established places and they're doing a great job.

Have just returned from my 5th visit and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. It's clean, comfortable and very central. The breakfast is good and its a great hotel. Matthew the doorman and Jeff the concierge are both so helpful, give great advice and really 'go the extra mile' to help their guests enjoy a fantastic holiday. Well done and thank you guys! See you next year!

Room Tip: Try and get a high room st the front of hotel for a fabulous vie of The Empire State Building.

We stayed at the Hotel Metro from the 11th to the 15th December (4 nights).
We stayed in a standard room which was a good size. The bedroom was nice and clean, good enough for a 3* hotel.
It was good to have the breakfast included and free hot drinks all day.
We liked the terrace with the view on the Empire State Building!
The location was great, 5 min away to the Empire State Building, 2 min to Macys, 5 min to Bryant Park, 10 min to Times Squares, 15 min to the Rockfeller Center,...
The staff was really helpful.
10 days before our holiday, we contacted the hotel on Facebook to ask for a room on the highest floor as possible and a view of the Empire State Building, they met our request which we really appreciated! They also left a little card on our desk to thank us for being part of their Facebook family. We had a small fridge with complimentary soft drinks (water and coke), nice attention.
Some nights it got a bit noisy but I guess that would be to expect when you stay in the heart of NYC!
We would stay there again and highly recommend this hotel!

I opted for Hotel Metro recently for a girls trip to NYC. The staff were helpful before hand as I organised a bottle of fizz to be in the room on arrival for my mum's 60th. The room was very big, beds VERY comfortable, room quiet (very quiet, slept soooo well!) Bathroom a good size with decent shower. Reception team always on hand to recommend trips, restaurants, give directions, and generally be helpful. Breakfast was such a bonus. To be able to wander down and fill up on lovely big squashy bagels, coffee and fruit before a day spent seeing the sights was perfect. The only reason I scored the hotel 4 and not 5 was that the breakfast room was a bit dark and hot and I felt a bit stuffy... but this would be my only tiny criticism. I'd certainly go back and have recommended to a few friends already. Location good for general Manhattan sightseeing. Not in the 'cool' part of town... but that's only a quick hop on the subway a few stops downtown. Right next door to Macy's though ;-) Thank you hotel Metro, you helped make my Mum's birthday trip one to remember for all the right reasons! x

Room Tip: We were on the 7th floor and it was very quiet, we were offered a free upgrade too so had 2 small double beds.
