Went to visit our daughter who is going to school at SUU and decided to give this restaurant a try after reading the reviews. Were very happy with our meal and enjoyed the atmosphere very much.

We stopped at this steakhouse a little before 5 and were going to sit in the parking lot until 5 so not to rush the staff. As we sat there cars kept pulling in and people were going into the restaurant so we thought what the heck. After we were seated folks continued to flow in, so we were pretty sure we had made a good choice.

This is not a fancy, tablecloth type place - it is a western themed steakhouse decorated with lots of wood and bricks.

We started with a mixed drink, a bloody Mary. Although it was listed on the drink menu, apparently the bartender was not familiar with the drink. We waited longer than others to get our beverage. It wasn't undrinkable, but overdone with the Worcestershire sauce.

The meal made up with whatever disappointment we may have had with the drinks. That evening the special was beef brisket which was served with a choice of potato and vegetable. We were surprised that rather than thin strips of brisket we were served a good sized platter of 1 - 2 inch chunks of smoked brisket. It was moist and tasty and we were unable to finish all we were given.

The service was prompt and attentive. The manager(?) made it a point to stop and visit all the tables.

We were pleased with our meal and would recommend to others.

After hiking all day at Bryce we came across this restaurant. Our steaks were very good. The vegetables and potatoes were over cooked.

We arrived in Cedar City for the first night of our road trip. After reading about this restaurant in my AAA Tour Book, we decided to go eat dinner before checking into our room. The restaurant is a short distance out of town. It looked to be a popular eating establishment with lots of cars in the parking lot shortly after the restaurant would have opened for dinner. The dining room is very large and would be a good place for a wedding reception or other large gathering. There was a real nice feel to the room for me. We ordered the Southwest chicken dinner and the half of a BBQ chicken dinner, which were both delicious. The sourdough bread was also very good. Very pleased with this restaurant and the service.

Place is western themed casual for any one who cares. Service is friendly and fairly fast. The bread starter was tasty sourdough, but not fresh out of the oven. Had the steak and rib combo- with fries, and summer squash as the veggie. The filet was excellent; tender, perfectly medium rare and delicious. The ribs were decent, tender and flavorful, a little dry, and not smoked. Honestly can't remember if they were even billed as smoked ribs so it might have been my misunderstanding, but not really what I was expecting. Small but decent selection of mostly Uinta Brewery beers on tap. All in all, a decent place for dinner.
