Owner description: The stately home of the sitting Arkansas governor is not open to the public. Visitors can catch a glimpse of the mansion's most illustrious former resident - there's a bust of Bill Clinton inside the front gates.

Great historic mansion in old town Little Rock. For those wanting to explore our great city, this is a must stop. Bill Clinton and Mike Huckabee both lived here as governors. Lots of beautiful old homes in this neighborhood. Nearby Maim
Street has some great antique shops, several restaurants, ice cream made with honey and for the ladies, a purse museum. Definitely a photo
stop on a tour of Little Rock.

As part of a conference I attended over the weekend was dinner at the Arkansis Governor's Mansion. What a lovely, elegant place. The food and service was quite good. The wine choices were weak, but okay. The dinner buffet was very good and serving the entire room went quickly. The table service included governorship china and placeware. It made this guest feel special. If you have an opportunity to dine there, GO!

We only drove by the mansion as tours were not available at the time of our stay. However, the neighborhood that surrounds the Mansion is worth driving by.

We would have loved to have a tour of the Governor's Mansion while in Little Rock, but both times I called (well in advance) I was told that there was nothing scheduled. It didn't seem to me like they were all that interested in offering tours of the mansion to the general public. We got to see it from the gated entrance, but that's it. What a disappointment! You can't judge a building by its exterior only.
