Our stay at this hotel was for 3 nights. We had a suite. It was very comfortable, spacious, quiet and most importantly, very clean. The suite had a bedroom with two queen size beds, a full bathroom, a spacious kitchen/living room area with full size oven/stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. It has everything you would need to live away from home for a short stay or a long one. There was a TV in the living room and the bedroom.
The continental breakfast was filling and delicious. They offer a wide range of foods for breakfast including cereal, hard boil eggs, freshly made waffles, bagels, juice and more.
On the premise is a large in the ground swimming pool which is completely screened in.
Off the main lobby is a well furnished weight room and computer communications room.
Besides cleanliness being very important to me, so is hospitaliy. The staff was very polite and informative.
I would recommend this hotel to any type of traveler. It is well suited for the business man or families with children. Whether you just want a one night stay or a long stay, you will not be disappointed with this one.

A very good value. Recently remodeled. Room had a frig and microwave which is handy. A good selection of TV channels. Room was peaceful and clean. We stayed 3 nights while visiting Cumberland Island and Okefenokee. A very short drive to the ferry to Cumberland Island and less than 1 hour away from Okefenokee's East entrance.

We stayed at the Cumberland Inn the night before our trip to Cumberland Island and would recommend it for anyone doing the same.
It is an older hotel, but updated and very clean. They do offer free internet access and breakfast. If your look for a 5 star place, this hotel is not for you, but for the average traveler, it quite nice and we will stay there again when we visit the island.

Well, it is a motel and not a luxury resort, but: it is cheap (a room is around 80 $ per night), it is clean, it has large rooms and offers a decent breakfast. It looks like it underwent some recent remodeling too. It is by far your best choice in St.Marys, though it’s not in the historic area (it will take you 5 minutes to get there by car). Go there and don't be fouled by other places.

After a bad experience at the Goodbread Inn in St. Mary's, we moved to the CumberlandI Island Inn. Were we ever happy we did. Big rooms, extremely clean, refridgerator, microwave, and coffee machine. Very comfortable beds. I slept great. Hosts were gracious. Included breakfast began at 6:30 for early risers like me and it was great. Fruit, yoghurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, juice, cereal, etc. All you wanted--terrific. I was puling a boat and there was plenty of room for parking. Two of us paid 89 bucks--45 each for a great room and breakfast. You can't beat that in St, Mary's. I won't stay anywhere else.
