Our family along with our friends visiting from Italy couldn't get enough of this place. We stopped for lunch and all had many choices from Indian, to Mexican, to the Philly Cheesesteaks, pretzels, donuts and cookies! A feast for the eyes and stomach. We parked in the garage next to the market and got validated parking after a purchase of $10.

If you are visiting Philadelphia, this is one of the places you need to know. It is near to City Hall on a historial building. You can find there fresh flowers, fruits, vegetable, fresh farm products, as well as other products made my Amish communities. But maybe half of the vendors there are food places, so you will have a lot of places to choose from if you are there to grab a bite. Seating space is very limited, so if you go around lunch time on a weekend, you may have a hard time finding a place to sit.

This place is huge, so if you have been on your feet all day and are starving, you can find something that will meet everyone's appetite here. Lunch hour is extremely busy, so expect a bit of a wait. I suggest getting fruit at the grocery area, it will help curb the appetite while waiting in line for some real grub! After your belly is full, THEN roam every aisle and enjoy the smell and sights of wall-to-wall food! BTW, it's pronounced "red-ing", not "reed-ing" - so you will not see books and magazines as I thought one should! You're welcome.

If you're a foodie, you will absolutely fall in love with this place. Come here for a stroll - as quick as 15 minutes or as long as a couple hours. This place is food heaven with a little bit of every cuisine (American, Thai, Greek, Mexican, etc.), butchers, cheeses, seafood, Dutch Goods, homemade goods, and much more!

We came here on a Saturday morning and loved the hustle and bustle of it all (tourists and locals). A good amount of the prepared food stands were still not open and prepping for the day. I didn't check out the pricing for a lot of the food stands, but I'm going to say its not going to be the complete cheapest place to buy stuff, but it also won't be the most expensive.

*Restrooms, ATMs & seating available.
*If you have little ones, the stroller will be ok, but a tight squeeze in some areas.

We walked from our hotel to Reading Terminal Market and was blown away at the size and options of this place. You can't go hungry here. There is something for everyone here. Great food shopping. Just take your time and enjoy... but beware, it will get packed with the lunch time crowds.
