The Holiday Lights Spectacular runs Fri, Sat and Sunday from Dec 8 -Jan 3, 2017 except on Dec 24th and 25th with hours between 5 pm - 9 pm. The good news is sheltered garage parking is still free. Admission is still $14 for adults, $11 for seniors and 2-12 year olds and under 2 years is free also bring non-perishable food or a new unwrapped toy or jacket and admission is free. There is a vast display of lights, Frosty, Rudolph and of course Santa at the gazebo accompanied by holiday music will delight the kids. The free train ride around the lake is a big attractions. The $2 carousel is also operational this time of year. They have a Dinosaur playground area if the kids need a time to unwind. The snack bar sells hot dogs, pizza, French fries, paninis, salads and hot chocolate. Restrooms by the front gate are clean and well maintained. The downside is that as the weather gets colder the all the animals are not out. The wolves, the barnyard touching area, the sting rays and shark touch tanks are still available and are a big attractions. What I always liked about the Turtle Back Zoo is that the viewing area is closer. The zoo is well organized and spacious enough to not get physically not get overwhelmed but diverse enough to satisfy your emotional and intellectual connection with the animals. It a great one day experience with animals.
