What a treat for us today. I booked a reservation at the 1863 two weeks ago after seeing the menu for the Easter Brunch. There were 8 of us and it was delicious. The staff was excellent in all manner and requests. The Brunch had everything you could imagine from oysters on the half shell, an omelette station, every kind of fresh fruit, salmon, beef, ham and delicious deserts and so much more. This delicious show was much more then I imagined. They only do 3 of these per year, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Thanksgiving. I will definitely be back for both of those. Great job by everyone there. Thank you for a great Easter experience.

We stopped in Gettysburg for the evening and decided to grab dinner at 1863. We were first greeted and sat by Linda, whose smiling face and friendliness immediately made us feel welcome. The restaurant was beautiful and we felt relaxed after a day of travel. Our server, Nikki, was the absolute best server (and one of the friendliest people) we've ever met! She was knowledgeable, kind, quick, and funny. Linda helped out with our beverages and struck up a great conversation with us. The tater tot appetizer was one of the best things I've ever eaten along with the beef brisket special. The food was out of this world amazing!!!! Nikki even took time to show our nine year old how to do a fun, twirly thing with his straw. The incredible food combined with the soothing atmosphere and our two phenomenal staff members made this the most enjoyable meal we've had in awhile! I'd HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great food and efficient, wonderful servers. If you go, be sure to ask for Nikki and Linda!!!!

The food at 1863 was marvelous. The calamari salad appetizer featured tender, lightly breaded calamari with arugula, shaved fennel, and pepperoncinis. It was beautifully balanced. The roasted spaghetti squash marinara was a hearty vegetarian entree that was tasty and filling. Both the pre-meal rolls and the bread that came with the entree were fresh, warm, and tender. The service at the hostess station by Linda, and especially by Nikki in the restaurant was friendly, attentive, prompt, and professional.
