I don't think a trip to Gettysburg would be complete without visiting this studio. The people were extremely pleasant and accommodating and the process was quick and professional but never felt rushed. We enjoyed the experience immensely and give them the highest recommendation without hesitation.

Had a wet plate done of my daughter it simply was amazing. The knowledge and all the costumes they have make it hard to decide what picture you want to do. Will not go anywhere else definitely going back for more pictures of the family.

Our second time here, and we loved it! Photo came out great and the experience is so interesting. We loved dressing up and talking about the history but watching the wet plate is by far the coolest. A must do!

Most important thing first: This is NOT a tourist trap! This is the real deal. If you are like us and are wary of tourist traps wasting your money, rest assured. This place is worth every cent. It is definitely among the coolest things I've ever done.

The owners are amazing! Kind, funny and very experienced. After the photo was taken we got to see how the wet plate was made. As photography enthusiasts ourselves we had a great time chatting about the process, the camera and chemicals involved. We even got to look through the lens of the historic camera. The owners clearly love what they do and it shows in their work.

A few tips, if you are a woman, wear a tank top with spaghetti straps so depending on the dress you choose, you can just push the straps down so it won't be in the picture. The dress goes right over your clothes. They even help you with your hair to make it "period authentic".

Can't say enough good things and I'm already itching to go back to get another one done. Maybe on our next road trip.

Right in the heart of Gettysburg proper within walking distance of shops and galleries. Met and worked with friendly photographers. We wore our civil war uniforms but borrowed a collar for my dress. Second picture was a success. Got the package of 8x10, two 5x7 and wallets. Also had prints made called CDM's ? We get complements each time someone see's them....beautiful work, quick in getting pictures to you but suggest making an appointment....very busy due to reputation !!!
