We went in August 2017. We were mainly coming for the planetarium but really enjoyed the museum. There is a nice room for reptiles and birds who can't be released into nature. But our favourite might be the dinosaurs parts because you can control them with PS2 controlers which is very cool!! We were disappointed by the planetarium however as we didn't think it was very stunning or even interesting (considering the film we watched there).

Someone had told us that this place was boring, but I disagree... it was a pleasant surprise with a lot of different exhibits and hands on activities. For the cost of our admission, we also got to catch a show in the planetarium.

Great fun and kid friendly.

This place has been around quite awhile and they constantly upgrade. People from all over have donated things for the Museum. I was disappointed in the Planetarium this trip. (been 20 years since last visit) They have made it "state of the art" but the guy we had "running the show" was clueless at his presentation. When it was over, we all just looked at each other like "what the hec was that". Stick to the exhibits. THAT never disappoints. Well worth the $5 entrance fee

We visited the MOSH on a Saturday late morning. It was busy, but not overcrowded. The staff was very friendly. The exhibits were well thought out, and interesting for all ages. The metal, moving dinosaurs were a big hit. The room with the live reptiles was also popular. The historical walk was interesting. The only disappointment was that the noon planetarium show was a "Cosmic Concert." We knew that going in, but I would think that would be a later in the day kind of thing. The children in the show were rather bored. The cosmic concert was classical music and a somewhat dated, cheesy laser show. Time for an upgrade on that end. The rest of the museum was a lot of fun, and we really enjoyed it.
