The lively public house offers family-friendly dining with made-from-scratch meals using organic, natural, and local ingredients. An upstairs Woodfired Pizza venue was opened in the Summer of '13 and operates all day on Saturdays and Sundays, from 4:30-10pm on Wednesdays-Fridays and is closed Monday and Tuesday. Beautiful views and woodwork. Tours of the 30 barrel production brewery and beer canning line are available Saturdays and Sundays at 1pm and 4pm. Pizza is always good, but there's something about fresh artisan dough, firewood pizza, then add white sauce with grilled chicken and fresh garlic , oh SOOO good. Then Split the pizza in half with a fresh organic wild mushroom, white sauce and arugala. It was Delicious, or maybe it was the flight of beer?
The 1,000 waz ok. But if you say there's chocolate in it. I would at least like an after taste. The from Astoria, was not even there. I love a good porter. These dark beauties do not compare to convitica.
Now the radio red was AMAZING! Paired well with the pizza choices as well as the other summer pale, with lemon grass and elderflower. I usually do not like blondes but, the fresh test with a little twist of lemon and very VERY light, with a light hint aftertaste of elderflower, it was refreshing after a long day of beach walks, climbs and tours.
To finish off the Cavitica Chocolate Cake! NICE light chocolate icing, firm cake, maybe a bit dry. But, it was not a turn off. It would have been OVER THE TOP! if the served it ala' mode. But, still it was a nice finish.
Always good service and beautiful views of the Columbia River.
I highly suggest a visit! Never disappointing. PS Love the new porch seatting area. BTW it's Puppper and Doggo Friendly!!!

Great atmosphere, awesome salad, good beer, and darn good service! I love Oregon and this place was one of our favorite places we went to eat.

We did not like any of the beers that we tried.. The chowder was okay, but I have had much better. I would not go back.

Up in Astoria for 3 nights. Lots of restaurants and we checked out quite a few.
Fort George Brewery was it! Very nice/classy pub. Clean, well staffed, excellent service and great chef. This was previously a large multi door mechanic shop for vehicle repairs.
It has 2 stories. The top is where the fired oven pizza is made from scratch and served.
Downstairs, customers can choose from a wide array of dining choices. Fish, seafood, WONDERFUL hamburgers, FANTASTIK Fish and Chips. The servings are generous and the service is attentive. Very upbeat, fun place to dine on some really fine foods.
Next time we are up in Astoria, we will eat here again.
NOTE: If you want one of the chef's homemade desserts, better order early on.
