Our hotel manager told us that if we wanted the best breakfast around to go here. How right they were!

We visited New Year's Eve day and were told that this place is under new ownership and will be closing down for a few weeks to revamp. However, the food should stay pretty close to the same. I hope so!

It's a tiny place that is more bar than restaurant. We'll have to what new changes are in store. The service was good - couldn't fault it. I had Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs. Turned out to be the best version I've had in years. Steak was tender and full of flavor as was the gravy. Didn't taste like your typical made-from-a-packet gravy. I grew up on Southern Cooking and the gravy tasted authentic. Something hard to find these days.

We had pancakes at our table and I believe they were the best I've ever had. Ever! Amazing pancakes! The toast and eggs were all on par. The hash browns were excellent. We were all extremely satisfied with our orders. The bill was merely $40 for a table of five. An amazing deal!

I'd be back in a heartbeat! Next time we visit Astoria the Labor Temple Cafe is a must!

The restaurant had a sandwich board on the main street, so we walked there to try it. Not the best restaurant in Astoria to be sure, but the cook made one of the best BLT sandwiches I've eaten for under $7.00. The bacon is delicious. The hostess was very friendly and made us feel welcome. So, get off main street and explore.

You gotta try this place. A real value and a great sampling of Old Astoria if you are a local your family and friends probably ate here

We've been "regulars" during our 5 week stays in the area for the past several years. On the plus side, the breakfasts and lunches we've ordered have been tasty and the service has been friendly.

On the other hand, we typically wait about 10 minutes to order and another 20 to 35 (this week) for our food to arrive. For 2 sandwiches 35 minutes seems excessive. If you go expecting good diner food and don't mind the wait, add Labor Temple to your list.

Will definitely be back as they serve a real breakfast at a decent price. Nice divey atmosphere, but way under staffed. Went in on the way to work and waited about 45 minutes to get our breakfast. A local and the dishwasher offered to help the happy guy work f the floor, but he refused. This refusal was as we looked at our breakfast for 5 minutes on the service counter.
