So delicious that we thought to offer a double grace for the food. Fantastic server, warm fireplace, Thursday night live music, spell - binding views as we sat overlooking on the waterfront. And, should you wish, you are invited to nibble from their fresh garden out front.

What a treasure in the heart of old town Astoria! This large, airy restaurant with sweeping views of the Columbia River and Astoria-Megler Bridge offers a very large menu of delectable options from appetizers and small plates to fresh salads and soups, entrée`s and desserts, with nice wine pairings. The service was friendly and very efficient. Prices were moderate. The extra small Willapa pan fried Oysters were to die for. The Butter Fish (Black Cod) was the special of the evening and was very tender and sweet. This would be an easy place to miss, but it was fortunately walking distance from the Cannery Pier Hotel.

Bridgewater Bistro is a well appointed, cozy, perfectly situated elegant bistro open all day. The food is locally sourced and service is attentive. Soups are all tempting as are the salads. The view under the bridge is everchangingly stunning. Prices are reasonable for what is offered.

We had a wonderful dinner our first night in Astoria. There was a piano player and the sunset filled the dining room.

Forget that most of the menu is gluten-free – the food is great! The service is great! The location is great! Eating out when you eat gluten free can be challenging unless you encounter a gem like Bridgewater Bistro! We cannot say enough good things about this place! Our server, Steve, was friendly, personable and professional. We enjoyed the clam/mussel chowder, seafood cakes and fried oysters. The Italian bread was outstanding. Everything was wonderful including the rum julep cocktail we ordered. We recommend this restaurant without hesitation. Enjoy!
