We watched the parade from Johnson Square surrounded by American patriots all there to see Vice President Pence. It was inside the security zone but had restaurants on Broughton to choose from. The only ugly behavior toward the VP came from some of the people (drunk) walking in the parade. Too many family members in the parade dressed like hookers. Besides their behavior, we had a great time. The square is very well maintained and we enjoyed visiting.

This isn’t my favorite of all savannah squares but it’s a quiet shady spot in the hustle and bustle of downtown.

I took a Civil War walking tour of Savannah - it was incredible. One of the stops was Johnson Square. The trees and the foliage are beautiful. I just sat and enjoyed the serenity!

Went for a Christmas program on 17 Dec ‘17. Loved the “Christ Ascension” stained glass and the beautiful organ upstairs. This church was the first house of worship for the original colony founded in 1733. Beautiful! I could sit in that church for hours! What a joy!
