My wife and I made the short trip from Charleston in the middle of January, and we couldn't have had a better experience. We got in around 8 p.m., and although we missed the official wine and hors d'oeuvres period, our new friend Eddie got the wine back out and poured each of us a glass. His immediate high level of service set the tone for the rest of our trip. Eddie escorted us to our room, and my wife and I both just stood there amazed for a few minutes thinking, "Are you sure we deserve to experience something this great?" We dropped off our bags, and headed back down where Eddie gave us several great restaurant recommendations. The next morning, we woke up to the sun rising over the Savannah skyline, and because we were higher than most of the other buildings, we could see it perfectly. Breakfast that morning was huevos rancheros, and the quality of the food matched the quality of service. Equally great was just getting to know the morning staff, as well. We chatted with Jane, Anna, and Lindsay for quite some time, and they were all extremely friendly and enjoyable to talk to. In addition, they were helpful in giving direction on a great self-guided walking tour. Our trip was short and sweet, but the hours at the Presidents' Quarters Inn were perfect for me and my wife.More
