“Beautiful place!! Albert Gallitin home”

Friendship Hill National Historic Site
Reviewed 12 October 2017

Such a serene place to visit. The main house was built in the 1700’s by United States secretary of the Treasury Albert Gallitin. Upon entering the estate you will see a tree lined drive among beautiful fields. There were two wedding parties here the day I visited. It’s the perfect spot for a wedding! So picturesque. worth a visit indeed, there was no charge and guided tours are an option.

The surrounding property of the home is wide open and beautiful. The original home is old with several old additions. The home however has limited furnishings and has not been kept to it's original state. Touches of modern life can be readily seen throughout the home and property.

Friendship Hill was the home of Albert Gallatin. The house and grounds are beautifully maintained. The visitors enter is informational and provides both videos and written information. There are hiking paths and beautiful views overlooking the Monongahela River n

One of the nicest NP in the area. It is beautiful at all seasons. Great history and the
grounds are quiet.

Attended a group walk here. Very good staff. Wonderful activities for the kids. Good trails to walk. Nice nature walk. Can't wait to return in the fall and see the beautiful autumn colors.
