The only reason to stay here is the view. It’s a dump and they’re not even giving an ounce of effort. Back to the view, it’s amazing. Absolutely gorgeous which makes the resort even more disappointing. We went during offseason and they were grossly understaffed. The lady who checked us in appeared miserable but I don’t blame her. I heard numerous guests in passing complaining about awful service. The front desk had ridiculously long lines, everyone at the resort was eating dinner in the small bar and they only had one server. Sounds awful but the older lady serving us did great and kitchen staff started running food to tables. OUTSTANDING! Management should be forced to clean toilets for a month. The rooms are awful and ridiculous. We had a room with a view of the marina. Once again, the view was amazing and the only reason to stay here. Half (not exaggerating) was empty. It’s like they moved furniture out of our room. No wall decorations. Everything is old and hasn’t been updated in decades. What’s even more bizarre is we had a keurig with Starbucks k-cups. This was awesome (obviously) which is strange considering our room had no furniture in it. My wife walked around to like 3-4 vending machines for water and she said they were all empty!?!? This place needs new ownership or management. The only reason to go to this place is for the view and it’s amazing. I would camp if I ever went back. This place doesn’t deserve your money. There is zero effort and they treat their employees like crap from what we saw.

The hotel was very comfortable and clean. We visited in March, so a lot of services and restaurants were not open yet. The bar and restaurant in building 4 served good food, but service was slow and do not expect to have a phone call answered. The hotel has no elevator, so be prepared to carry luggage up the stairs if staying on the second floor. All staff were incredibly nice, pleasing, and respectful. The BIG problem was after taking a 7 hour boat tour (sun screen, lotions, sweat, icky clothes) we returned to find we had NO hot water. After contacting the front desk, we were told that it was hoped hot water would be available by morning! You can imagine the night. Next morning, we did, indeed, have hot water. At checkout I requested to speak with the manager. I have yet to be contacted by the manager. This results in the average grade. Although no hot water is a big deal, I did not want to grade lower since the rest of the stay was enjoyable. Not being contacted by the manager rates a minus 5.

Room Tip: Get a bottom floor unless you do not mind carrying luggage up the stairs

Our room was nice and comfortable. Very quiet. We had a door to the outside (we were on the ground floor) and it was nice to take our dog for potty walks. The lobby is where the restaurant is and the cocktail lounge. Dinner was a 45 minute wait so we snacked in the cocktail lounge, instead of waiting. It was comfortable and had a great view out to Lake Powell. In the morning we had their breakfast buffet in the dining room and the food was very good. Again an outstanding view of Lake Powell. Great parking and nice grounds to walk around. They have an outdoor pool but it was still to cold to attempt a swim.

Room Tip: We had a ground floor room with a door to the outside. This is a pet friendly resort and we had our dog with us.

nice location and that's all。old facilitation and very poor system, service, and communication。 we were upgraded because the original booked room was gone when we checked in at 9pm。we were told the next day we might need to move out to the original room as the upgraded room was sold out for the next day。it took about 40 mins to check in。 the next morning when we call, the front desk said we were OK and don't need to move。 so we went out。when we came back in the afternoon, new guests were in the room and our stuff were gone。“what's happening”,“you have a move out note in the system”,“why we were told we don't need to”,“our system is down this morning,if i ever told you that,i am sorry”,“why don't you give us a call before you move our things out”,“i am sorry”。moving between rooms is acceptable, but when you have quite a few personal stuff,ie, your daughter's medicine, basically you wont like housekeeping to pack it for you。so be prepared you stuff might be packed and moved without permit and notice in advance。btw, the upgraded room,612,could barely see any lake。the original booked room,368,has a nice lake view。

Dee at check in was great hooked us up with a beautiful lake view room. Our dinner at the Rainbow Room was amazing and very reasonable our server Guy was very personable. Room accommodations were comfortable and clean. Big deck with gorgeous view. Nice grounds with a walking trail.
