We stayed at Carr’s several times prior to the destructive fire several years ago. Accommodations were always comfortable and clean. We stayed in one of the cottages overlooking the creek this time and were extremely disappointed. Furniture is seriously in need of replacing. Pictures on their website do not actually represent the look of the property. This was our last stay at Carr’s.

Under new owners lousy service owner doesn’t give a damn rises the rate 21/2 times the regular rate room wasn’t the cleanest been going here for a while but no more we got our room at the regular rate before they bought it asked to stay one more night and wouldn’t give at same rate. Wanted us to pay double. Said he would leave empty before taking the rate we had paid. Not worth the price they are asking! Best to find a nice cabin for almost the same weekly rate.

We have been staying at Carr's since 1999 and have stayed in many different rooms. First it was a hotel room for a few years, then we tried a chalet off site, next we found the little log cabin that was a favorite for years. In 2019 we decided we wanted a room with a deck over the stream and this year we chose a two story cottage with a deck - love the sound of rushing water. We have always found the service polite and helpful and our rooms very clean. This cottage is off a green space surrounded by other various sized cottages. Ours had the bedroom and a bath up a flight of 15 stairs. The bed was comfortable and everything was in working order. There is a full-size refrigerator, microwave, oven and coffee maker; a small table and four chairs is in the common room. There is a gas-log fireplace, sofa, and a recliner in the common room. The deck overlooking the stream has a table and four chairs.

We have stayed at Carr's a couple times since 2000 and have usually enjoyed our stay. The place is an older resort but we knew this going in. We stayed in one of the suites 15 , 16 and small 18. When we got there we were not aware of how much room 15 and 16 were when combined!! It was 4 adults and 2 kids they were going to let us give up 18 and all stay in 15 and 16 at the last minute but we decided to just keep what we had booked.. they did offer which was a very nice gesture!! The week we were there we had nothing but good service and always polite and helpful. Kids loved the creek and playing on the rocks. Only thing might suggest is the outside string lights could be on a timer so they went off at 12 maybe as they did shine into the window at night..loved walking distant to town and pizzeria of Gatlinburg was close and very good food!! Overall it was a very good week and no complaints with facility. The pool was closed but so are a lot in Gatlinburg this time of year. We called ahead before we planned trip and knew what to expect it does help.

Room tip: The family suites are a good option if you don't want a house. Like a little cottage. They did need some maintenance but nothing major.
