We stayed overnight at this hotel on the way home from Florida. We have stayed here before and decided to stop just to break up the long trip home. The room was very roomy with a king size bed in one bedroom, two twins in another, a murphy bed, and a pull out couch. My children always love the cookies and milk served at night time as well as Cesar the parrot in the lobby. We were able to walk to the downtown area fairly easy. The staff were very welcoming and nice. Breakfast consisted of breads, cereal, yogurt, streudel, and was decent.

Down sides: The price. The parking (tight and not much of it).

We stayed at Zoders July 21-25, 2012. The room was very clean, the beds quite comfortable. The tile floor in the bathroom is heated and you can set the thermostat where you want it! A really nice perk! The room that we stayed in was creekside so we had a small patio with two chairs and a chaise lounge with a small table, a very convenient addition since the room was kind of small. Still it was adequat for a family of 4 with two teenage girls. Zoders is located at the very beginning of the Gatlinburg strip and there is a trolly stop very close by. Nice since the length of the shopping strip is a mile long. Not a bad walk unless it is very hot like it was while we were there. They have a heated indoor pool with a hot tub, and an outdoor pool as well. Two racket ball courts inside and a very small weight room next to the breakfast area. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The creek is not exactly a babbling brook but more like a raging river it is very loud. One thing we could have used was an extra blanket as we would get cold at night with the AC, also there were 3 pillows on each bed so we were glad that we brought a few pillows with us. We probably could have asked for extras. The continental breakfast was either a bagel, toast or a sweet roll (very tiny) also hardboiled eggs, apple or orange juice, an apple or an orange, yogurt and coffee or tea. They serve milk and cookies in the evening for the kids and we never went but they have wine and cheese (I think) for the adults.

Driving around the country you'll see old ruins of roadside motels from the early/mid 20th century...well, in Gatlinburg, they're all still operating...and this one was certainly sufficient if you're looking for a place to lay your head at night.

I was going to rate this "average" but evidently for Gatlinburg it's above average. It's old, but that's part of the charm...apparently. It's been family operated for decades. Our room was overlooking the stream outside which provided a natural noise blocker and allowed for a good night's sleep, which was all I could ask for. The wine and chex mix/cheese in the evening and the breakfast were sufficient but as basic as you could imagine. The ladies running the food service didn't seem at all happy to be there. Think elementary school cafeteria for portion size and quality. Not bad at all, just hardly worth mentioning.

The rooms were very dated and basic, but again, sufficient. Clean if not a bit damp. I did like the fact that Zoders is a 3 minute walk to the strip, so it's not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle and crowds.

We've been going to Gatlinburg for the last 10 years and we always go back to Zoders! Ive read some of the other reviews where they say "its dated" well dated or not ( which I dont think so) this is the only place we will stay when we go to Gatlinburg. The staff is wonderful and NEVER rude. The best rooms are the ones that are on the river, you go to bed with the sound and wake up to it...ahhhhh relaxing. If youre looking for a cheaper deal then go down the road and try the others. Ive made the mistake of staying one night at some other hotels due to cant get a room right away but by the next day when Im checking in at Zoders I can relax that much more knowing its a home away from home!

We stayed 3 nights in July. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds with a balcony over the river. This was our first trip to Zoder's Inn and we would stay again. The kids liked the handball court, the pools, and playing in the creek. The only problem we had was pulling out of the hotel onto the main street is a little difficult. Other than that we had a great time
