The resort was what you'd expect from a five star!

The service was great, the location fantastic although somewhat remote. However this shouldn't be an issue with such cheap taxi services.

What was exceptional?
The location to enjoy early walks on a world class golf course, or surf and swim in the well designed pools... and sunset. The walk to Tenah Lot is lovely with drinks and sunset , just magic. The blessing of happiness could just be life changing.
The food hall (which is nicer than it sounds) is regal with it's high roof.
Really comfortable beds and furnishings in the room were of quality.

What's just ok...
The signage and layout of the grounds is quite confusing, although I was only there for a short time.
The pedicure at the beauty salon was quite average for the price and for what she actually did which was not much more than a paint.
The food. The assortment and choice at the buffet breakfast and dinner was just average. Ordering off the menu proved to be the better option.
Monsoon can be hit and miss, early January is Monsoonal which was a disappointment for the wedding party I was attending, but it was warm enough with enough dry spells on most days to be a very enjoyable stay.

There's not much to fault. The resort delivers a great 5 star experience with a touch of local flavour.

When we drove up to the Pan Pacific, we knew we were someplace special. We were greeted with a cold glass of papaya juice and a cool towel. Our rep met us on the terrace and told us about the hotel and our package.

We were offered an business-level upgrade that included breakfast, a light lunch, cocktails, some laundry services, and a few other up-sells. At first we thought, no. But after doing the math, said, yes.

It made our stay even better. We loved the amenities and meals. The food was always top-notch, and the service above standard.

We enjoyed several walks to Tanah Lot and the nearby markets, but felt the security and pleasure of the 5-Star landscapes and services.

We were there the first two weeks of February, which is Bali's off-season and rainy season. But we hardly had rain, and -- when it did rain -- it didn't deter us from enjoying ourselves.

The pools and restaurants were quiet -- which we loved. We would definitely go back.

My wife and I were there to collect travel photography and to celebrate her recent birthday. The area is a treasure trove for any photographer.

The sunsets during cocktail hour were spectacular!

Our four thumbs are way up!

Room Tip: We were on the 5th (top) floor. We had a raised ceiling. Our room faced the pools and ocean, which w...

We spent three nights at the Pan Pacific Nirwana in late December. Upon arrival we were welcomed so graciously. A sweet drink and a cool cloth helped to shake off the mugginess of the drive out through the rice paddies to get to this spectacular sea cliff property. A flower was placed behind our ears and we were ready to be seen to our room.
The room was beautiful. Large and spacious and overlooking a view of the shore line and the golf course to the East. We had a lovely private garden lanai to lounge about on. The decor was fresh and white with mirrors and contemporary lines. A full mini bar, large sliding closets, safe, yukata, and slippers, The white marble bathroom had top shelf amenities, and full glass shower and tub for two, fat, clean towels and a retractable drying line.
Our room would have been perfect for a family because what I thought was a giant walk-in closet opened up to reveal the most charming bunk beds and little bean bag chairs and a playful hat rack and tea table with hand painted chairs. Puffy comforters like clouds covered all of the beds and generous pillows of every gauge would have satisfied Goldilocks. I admit I wanted to move in because the bed was so comfortable! A large flat screen TV had every service imaginable as well as a Wii including hand sets. And this was just the room.
The large property which my husband told me posses the best Course he has ever golfed on, is replete with a magnificent series of swimming pools, long crazy covered water slides, and Jacuzzi, and a series of restaurants ranging from fine dining, cafe, poolside restaurant, and upstairs bar. The food and service was wonderful in each as we had the opportunity to sample. This Hotel has quickly become a favorite and we have even decided to look into the condos on the property.
The real beauty of this property though is its proximity to the Pura Tanah Lot. The ship-like Temple on the sea that is a pilgrimage for so many practitioners of Hinduism and those that just want to visit. I have been to the temple on several trips to Bali and each time I was amazed by the beauty of this place. The sunsets behind the temple are not to be missed.

Room Tip: We didn't have a "prime" room and it was so stunning I didn't want to leave.

We have stayed at this resort five times. We love the golf course and the villas and the pool. We were disappointed to find that the beautiful bar with it's Balinese ceiling has been renovated and has generic modern chairs and sofas and the staff are dressed in uniforms that resemble air hostess wear. Tights in Bali ? The Balinese feel has been diluted and the food at dinner was very disappointing. Breakfast is still good and the setting looking out over Tanah Lot is absolutely gorgeous. Think they have just taken their eye off the ball. Golf course is still fantastic.

Room Tip: If you are going with friends, the two bedroom villas are great.
