Even if you don’t enjoy art this is worth a visit. Truly a beautiful setting. Lovely and eclectic sculptures positioned among large oak trees dripping with grey moss. The streetcar takes you right to the park and is a fun experience itself.

I stopped here on the way to my hotel and it is definitely something to see. There was plenty of free parking along the roadways. The sculptures are nicely spread out through the park. I'm glad I stopped here, there are plenty of interesting sculptures to suit all tastes. Lots of nice photos and very peaceful to walk around. I'd recommend this if you are in the New Orleans area. It's definitely a beautiful park to walk around with lots of benches to sit and enjoy the area. My husband hates all this artsy stuff and he enjoyed it, if that means anything! lol

This soothing sculpture garden is located right inside one of the largest Municipal Parks in the USA. There are 60 or so sculptures everywhere, and the landscaping has been blended into them to make them even more attractive. The art collection is in a fantastic range of styles, from traditional to modern, in a variety of mediums. We loved the fact that they are all labeled with the name of the concept, the name of the artist, and when it was created.

Like any other sculptures, we found the symbolism of the modern ones difficult to understand, but they are all enchanting, nevertheless. There are level meandering pathways with easy access to all of them in the main garden making it easy for strollers or wheelchairs. The entire area is peaceful, with lots of seating to admire the sculptures, or just for reading or resting.

The Garden is free to enter, so why not spend some time here? We were brought here as part of the three-hour city tour, and enjoyed it very much.

We took the trolley (sorry….StreetCar) from the river up to the City Park. A Beautiful place. I loved the sculpture garden! Lots of green space. Lots of art that I truly enjoyed and da lovely wife really didn’t understand! A nice relaxing, calming couple of hours stroll! Enjoy it!

This is a wonderful place for strolling and/or contemplation. Wonder mix of sculptures from Henry Moore to Rodin and lots in between. Beautiful gardens. The iris are beginning to bloom. It is open to the public and there is no charge. So glad I did not miss this. Part of it is closed due to construction which is too bad.
