Whether you get Frank’s food that is classic Louisiana...or his more adventurous dishes...you will find yourself saying, “the best I ever had”. With great food all over New Orleans, Frank Brighten has the best. Make sure you get out of the French Quarter to go see...and taste!

Were able to secure last minute Valentine dinner reservation. As native New Orleanian, this is one of my favorite places. Even thought it was a busy night, the waitress was extremely attentive and considerate of the timing of the course service.

Two of us had the 'Shell Beach' seafood platter, Veal Parmesan and Scallops.
Along with oyster chowder, scallops, salads and dessert.

It was an amazing meal and evening. And the Frank Brighsten, made a pass through the restaurant, greeting the patrons, which was a very nice touch.

A New Orleans gem, that everyone should vist.

Fabulous restaurant. The Oyster Chowder was to die for. I had sauté sheepshead with crabmeat and asparagus. Very good. My wife had the trout and it was excellent as well. Service started out a little slow but overall was excellent. Fred Brigtsen, the chef and owner visited the tables.

Some might think intimate but it has a overcrowded feeling in this small house way out west of the Garden District. Thank goodness most of the clientele were quiet spoken and not revellers! Had the oyster chowder and a bit surprised to find large whole oysters which I had to cut up into four pieces to be able to enjoy! Chowder part was tasty but nothing to shout about. The rare tuna was superb with a good crisp exterior and rare interior just how I like it, and a beautiful medley of bean dressing covering the fish. My companions drum fish was substituted for flounder and was excellent and cooked to her liking with a good selection of vegetable to accommodate her allergy black list. Two glasses of Champagne and a Balvenie came to $140 with gratuities.

First - good wine prices - thank you!. Fish special was overcooked and pretty blah, as were the vegetables that went with, and the liquid-y mashed potatoes. Duck was pretty good - crispy skin and tender meat. Heard the rabbit was pretty good, but it was fried slices, so was surprised at the presentation. Pecan pie was tasty and sat in a pool of caramel sauce. It was very busy on a Thurs night, in an old home - pretty neat atmosphere.
