If you are looking for vegetables in NOLA you cannot beat the Chinese Vegetables on offer at the Chine Wall restaurant. The restaurant is not fancy and in fact I took mine back to the hotel, however the food was delicious. So nice to eat a mix of vegetables cooked to perfection aka al dente. The accompanying port was good as well.

The chicken was good. The soup was good and the fried rice was good. The location is convenient and the fare is common Chinese American cuisine. But if you're looking for common courtesy you might want to look elsewhere.

The Lutheran gathering we were in town for flooded a lot of places to eat. This was close to the Astor Crowne Plaza, and had a table for our whole group of 8 not once, but twice. It wasn't what you go to NOLA for, but it was quick, good, reasonable food.

yes, the surroundings can give one pause to enter this establishment, but frankly, it's on canal street and i feel that way about just about anywhere on canal.
i took my son to work one day and we ordered china wall for lunch. i called the order in ahead of time and had no trouble placing the order. we decided to do a sampler and ordered:
won ton soup
crab rangoon
fried dumplings
general tso's chicken
all of that food for $19. couldn't beat that, we had leftovers enough for dinner. the rangoon were great as were the dumplings. my son enjoyed the won ton soup as well. the chicken was more spicy than i like it, but thats a personal preference, the item did have a little chili pepper next to it on the menu so i knew it was possibly going to not be my taste.
the food was ready in a timely manner, though i arrived early and sat and waited for it. i got my order and headed out and while i was waiting on the corner to cross the street the lady from the register came running out because they'd forgotten the dumplings. most places i've been too wouldn't have bothered to see if i was still there, they would've just made me come back when i realized i was missing food.
all in all, i will order from china wall again.
