Nice place, great food, good location,
Recommendations, the pool, clean it up, or change it for a hot tube.
Try to get a drink menu for the travelers and be sure to have all the food that you offerd on the menu.

When you want to escape the heat from Panama City or David, this hotel is the place to be. At an altitude of 1600 meter temperature is perfect! The style of the restaurant and hotel is similar to the apres ski bars in the Alpes, but than a little bit different.
WARNING: this hotel is a wedding location. Almost every weekend it is party time! If you really want to enjoy the beauty of this place, check the reception in advance if there are party's on there way!

The grounds are attractive, the foliage being the best part of the facility. The rooms are dark with marginal lighting, but are otherwise adaquate. The hotel hosts many events in which you will participate since there is no soundproofing. The restaurant is OK or not OK, depending on what you order. The squash soup and club sandwich are pretty good. Don't try for anything more complex. The burger is awful; don't order it. If you encounter someone who made the mistake, you'll thank me for the warning. Your best bet is to drive into town and dine at La Carbonara.

We went for midyear vacations in order to rest a bit an forget the noisy city, and we definitely did it. we found a fairy tale place surrounded by nature and peace.
Good things:
1. location surrounded by nature ( river in front and behind a big mountain )
2. nice pond full of truchas ( kind of fish)
3. restaurant is amazing with a real chimney.
4. very helpful crew

we got in love with this place form the first minute we arrived there. if you are looking for a nice calm place to rest and enjoy the family, this is the one.

went with mama, wife and daughter.

We went for a family reunion and were very impressed with this unique resort. There are approx. 20 cabins spread around small hills of very well-maintained landscape and a fish pond under the wooden bridge next to trees and zip lines. The birds, butterflies and the relaxing sound of the lively Chiriqui Viejo river makes this place an oasis. You feel the peaceful environment as soon as you arrive! We had to change to a bigger suite and the staff at front desk was fully accommodating, they even moved our luggage in no time. A tip: if you have more than 4 persons in a Jr Suite don't use the sofa bed to sleep - it's not comfortable for adults, maybe for kids. Go for the Royal Suite, with 2BR/2BR. It's like a cozy apartment in the woods.
The food at the restaurant was delicious and so reasonably priced i.e. kid's meal (large portion) pasta bowl for $5.95 or so WITH a drink. Everything from sauces to fruit juices tasted so fresh and authentic. Water quality was fantastic. Our nightly waiter Mr. Noel was extremely nice and efficient, we highly recommend him.
Casa Grande Bambito is a great place to disconnect from city stress!

Important:
Do not drive up to Volcan after dark or in the rain. We did it in heavy fog and it was spooky!
