This restaurant is one of the finest in Zell. It was recommended to us by a friend and oh everything we were told was true. The atmosphere is fantastic, low lights lots of candles and intimate dining. It gets booked out very quickly especially at week-ends. One can sit at the bar while waiting for a table and enjoy a drink. The food is excellent with one dish better than another. There is ample food on the plate or in the case of the ribs and chicken it is served on a board.
Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. There are no delays in producing the food and it is served piping hot. Starters, main courses and deserts are all to die for.
The location of the Traube is down a narrow pathway and could be missed so look for the sign on the street with the arrow pointing down. Have been there several times over a few years.
I would highly recommend it.

We walked by the restaurant early evening and it looked busy, we pooped in to see if we could get a table. Luckily for us there was only one left. The staff were lovely and the food fantastic.

Wow, what a night. We booked a table for 8 persons. We had been to the biathlon in Hochfilzen all day so we had been drinking for 6-7 hours. When we arrived we had to wait 20-25 min for our table, and we spent that time in the bar drinking really bad drinks. Thats when we lost the first two guys. After we got the table we lost one more before we were able to order.

We were afraid that the food would be as bad as the drinks, but supprise, It was excellent food. Really tasty after a long day at the sking arena. The waitress was friendly and told us about the fourth guy that had fallen asleep upstairs with his eyes open. What a bunch of hopeless guests. Really sorry about that. Anyways, we had a good time (for those of us who can remember it).

Serves very nice burgers and ribs.
It's a lovely small place and the staff makes you feel welcome.
It's a shame we didn't stay long enough to try everything!

My meal was very disappointing. We ordered nachos for the starter. I mean there is not much you can't do with nachos but it's hard to make them bad so I don't know how they did it. One of our waiters was clearly having a bad day cause she was rude and ignored us when we called her over but the other one may not be the brightest but lovely personality. Food was average nothing blew me away. Overall wouldn't recommend unless you like bad food
