Description: Join us in our relaxed, art-filled restaurant for lunch, dinner or Sunday brunch. Our menus feature fresh seafood, steaks and prime rib, pastas, salads and delicious vegetarian dishes. We take pride in baking our own sourdough bread daily, and making all of our own soups, dressings and desserts. When available, we incorporate fresh & organic fruits and vegetables from our own Faultline Farm. Dine poolside, or indoors, and enjoy live acoustic music seven nights a week. Visit our blog to see our monthly music schedules. Our restaurant seats on a first come, first serve basis. We strongly recommend calling ahead 30-40 minutes before you plan on arriving to speak with our host. We will be happy to give you an update on how busy we are, and if there is a wait list, put your name it. To keep things flowing in our small dining room, we will direct large parties of 10 or more to make arrangements with our Restaurant Manager.

We stayed at the Campbell House for 4 nights and had dinner 3 times and 1 lunch at the 29 Palms Inn. By far the best dining choice in town. The restaurant is eclectic and busy, but worth the wait. The hard-working staff and decor are funky, but it adds to the uniqueness. The food was excellent. The basic house salad was made with local greens and the best homemade blue cheese dressing. The rib eye steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Spinach salad and pasta dishes were awesome. Generous wine pours. And, the place is a bargain!

This experience opened with a bang, and closed with a whimper--as in, "Where's our food?" more than an hour after ordering. The opening bang was a great appetizer of decent Asian lettuce wraps. We were told sea bass was on the menu. Then a party of 19 arrived and the whole restaurant was forced to wait for our food. It arrived 90 minutes later, cold and unimpressive. We were too hungry to send this back, mediocre as it was. Never again. Understaffed and underwhelming. Do not waste your time.
Great decor cannot make up for sloppy treatment.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Good or bad, it's important that we hear from our guests on how we're doing.

While we are proud of the reputation that we have built up over the years, during these busy spring months it can be challenging for us to keep up with such a high demand given how small our kitchen and dining room are. That being said, regardless of how busy we are the quality and presentation of our food, and our quality of customer service should never be impacted. Thanks for hanging in there for such a long wait, and please know that we sorry it was such a disappointing experience.

Should you back in the area again please give us a call or send me a quick email as we'd love to welcome you back and wow you with our usual great service and food!

Best regards,
Heidi

This was great. Everything we had tasted good and fresh. Nice atmosphere, it was warm outside, so we ate around the pool. A pleasant experience.

This is the second time I've eaten at the 29 Palms Inn and both time the wait staff was neutral at best - acting like it was an imposition on their day. While some of the food was very good, the cole slaw was about as tasteless as it comes. Overall - overrated, but other than the Rib Co., what else is there in 29.

Thank you for dining with us, and for your repeat business.

On behalf of the team here I am sorry that on two occasions now we've fallen short, and have to say that neutral is certainly not how we want our service style to be described. Even during our busy seasons, we strive to provide the best in food quality and customer service. I thank you for your honest feedback, and say that it has been used as a training opportunity for our team.

Best regards,
Heidi

We sat at the bar and had dinner. The food was very interesting and very tastey. We both had the mara chicken it was very good. Sat near entertainment and we were a bit concerned but they were excellent and not too loud. Shared the chocolate mousse for dessert, highly recommend.
