We stayed at the Campbell House for 4 nights and had dinner 3 times and 1 lunch at the 29 Palms Inn. By far the best dining choice in town. The restaurant is eclectic and busy, but worth the wait. The hard-working staff and decor are funky, but it adds to the uniqueness. The food was excellent. The basic house salad was made with local greens and the best homemade blue cheese dressing. The rib eye steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Spinach salad and pasta dishes were awesome. Generous wine pours. And, the place is a bargain!
