We spotted this from the top of the cliff and thought .. nice! Oh dear. It is not a high standard. The room was nice and clean. Tina the entertainments manager was really really helpful and friendly (she'd make a good manger!). It certainly is not a posh hotel to splash out and have a luxury holiday in but it's fine for somewhere to sleep if travelling (which, thankfully, we were.)

We got the boat taxi over to Vela Luka in the evening which was lovely.

Stayed in this hotel in July 2012.
The hotel is big; old, recently renovated but somehow poor. Rooms are small, with old furniture, small bathroom, but clean.
Food was tasty, varieties of meat with sauce: mostly we enjoyed fish.
Didn't like the coffee - rarely there was milk aside.
Pool is ok - clear and warm water; I didn't like hotel beach so we visited almost every little bay that was close to us and enjoyed swimming in wonderfully clear water.
Don't miss trip to island Proizd if you decide to stay in or near Vela Luka!

Old hotel in fase of renovation.
Rooms are small, bathroom even smaller. Overall condition of the hotel is poor although some efforts were made.
Pool is ok. Most of the poolchairs are broken and people sneak in at the pool at night to reserve their chairs with a towel. You can never have a poolchair. Hotel staff does not intervene.
Very large and noisy restaurant and the food was ok. Lots of stewed meet in sauce.
No need to queue at 18 30 for supper at 19pm, there is plenty of food

Staff was extremely helpfull and nice, especially at the reception. Lunchboxes were made for us as we went diving for the day, taxis called upon etc.

All in formula is ok, drinks are available all day.
The public and animation is eastern european. Lots of familes with grandparents, parents and kids. ( not always with the finest education and a lot of "Firts come first serve" mentallity)
Every night dj with hongarian music or every second night guitarman with bad vocals.
There is no real bar or place to go at night. Only the large terrace with loud music.
The city centre is about 35 min walking, as we had no car so we stayed at the hotel at night.
Surroundings of the hotel are absolutely stunning and a lot of fantasic walks can be made on a coastal path.

We stayed at this hotel for the first time. The location is good, because every other hotel on island Korčula is located at or near a marina, so there are boats parked close to the "swimming area". The hotel is old. It was built in 1986, and it was partly renewed. The rooms are pretty small in comparison to newer hotels. The food is not that bad, when it's fresh and properly cooked, which isn't always the case. This doesn't happen all the time or to all the dishes, but sometimes it does. And sometimes some of the dishes run out, which is normal when a hotel is fully booked. But the problem is the time it takes the staff to replace that dish or dishes. It takes them forever (there are people in line waiting), and when they finally bring them out, they're almost cold. That means it was cooked for quite some time. So why not bring it out before? I mean it's not like they didn't have the time, because they were walking around. Again, this doesn't happen every day, but it happens often. I've been talking to some people, who have visited this hotel before, and according to them this didn't happen the years before. There are a lot of different drinks to choose from, but non alcoholic drinks are ice cold. Not really suitable for young children. Snack time is a bowl of pop corn and some cakes which are left over from lunch. If you want any you must be there at 4 p.m.
One problem , which bothered me, are the local kids, and I don't mean little children, I mean grown up kids (16, 17 years old). They come into the hotel for drinks and snack in the all inclusive bar, they are going to toilets in hotel. There is no control. That's because there are young people working at the bar, probably just through holiday season, which are friends with those local kids, and of course they let them do it.
There are two tennis courts and sandy voleyball court. There is no control there either, because people from nearby come to play tennis for free. So if you plan on playing, good luck trying to get on court.
Parking is free, but not protected. Someone has damaged the lock for the gas on our car. I guess they were trying to steal the gas (they didn't succeed, thank God), or something, but we didn't see it until we went to a gas station to get some gas. We were already on our way home in Split. Luckily the lock wasn't damaged enough, so that we were able to unlock it and tank the car.
This hotel could be a very good hotel, with its location, and if they renewed it (the entire hotel), even better. But they would need a new ownership and a new management, bad.

The building is old and ex-communist, however the real problems are not with the architecture, in fact the pool and beach are actually rather nice. The real problem stems from the food which you are pretty muched forced into with the all-inclusive billing. I have read the other report about the food being good - but find it hard to believe that what we expreienced could have been an aberation, it appeared to be continuously bad. To compound the matter the hotel may be only 2.5km from town but it is on an unlit pathway which is not suitable for walking back after dark - even with torches. This meant that it was difficult to go out for dinner and get back as this is very much a one taxi town. As the title to this review suggests we left early (happy to pay the early departure penalty just to get away). There is very little to say good about this hotel - other than it has a delightful pool. The cost for the exceptionally low quality food was rather distressing and we were very happy to move away.
