This was the best part of our trip. We spent an entire day climbing mont marathon and when we reached the top it felt like a million bucks. We climbed it together and we touched the snow and ice cold water that ran along the top of the mountain. Climbing up through the tree line was hard for me as I am a smoker but eventually my boyfriend and I reached the top and it felt amazing. We took tons of pictures and could see the whole town of Seward below us. It was amazing!

We started at the Jeep Trail head. It is very steep. There is a nice waterfall not far into the trail. We made it through very steep parts, and then we ran into an icefield so couldn't continue to the top. We were very disappointed.
It is worth hiking even if you can't make it to the top.

Hiking the race route the day after the race was pretty exciting! Such a fun climb and amazing views of the city at the top.

Very cool place to look around. Especially when the runners are ther for the race. Look up on the mountain and see the trail they run on.
