The kayak/hike adventure was the highlight of our Alaska trip! We had an amazing day in the bay with Amelia as our guide. Highly recommend. Easy paddling, amazing weather, spectacular 360 degree scenery!

Being a newly designed/developed property for the Miller’s landing group, the lack of vegetation and parking lot feel for the RV sights is really sad. One of the cabins for rent is literally in the middle of the parking lot- no privacy. The bathrooms were poorly attended to, lacking toilet paper and left with fences smeared on the seats most of the weekend. Lastly, the smell of sewage from the grey water site for the city permeated the air often. So gross!
Despite all of this and the constant rain, my group had a great time. We saw a whale off shore and eagles nesting in the tent area campground. The beach access is incredible.
I hesitate to recommend this site to anyone looking to pay for camping as the standard of maintaining a clean outhouse and camp sights with privacy are sorely lacking. The smell of sewer in the air is just the icing on the cake. Did not seem worth the $100 for 3 nights stay!

Michael Miller, Owner at Miller's Landing, responded to this reviewResponded 6 June 2021

Apologies for the unpleasant stay with us. We are developing the land and I think you caught the brunt of that. We decided to open it up for camping etc when the demand sorta dictated it.

The sewage smell is really unfortunate, and something all of the Lowell Point Community is dealing with. We strongly encourage you to call 907 224 3338 and complain about it- it is the City of Sewards upkeep that is causing the smells.

We are working on the other issues as well- finding staff to do this is a challenge at this time to say the least. We've raised the wage and are still not finding applicants.

We hope to develop this area further but we have to clear a space in order to develop it. Hopefully in the future it will be something that makes you happier with the stay.

Next time, please come in the moment you realize its not for you and we will happily refund you so you can find something more suitable.

Again, apologies.

Tom Miller

We used their water taxi service and we were very impressed with the entire operation. Nice boat, clean, well staffed, and gave us top us notch service. Highly recommended and we will use again for sure.

Bill and his mate were excellent and very personable. Smooth and fun ride back to Miller's Landing after a great vacation! I've always been a fan of Miller's Landing, however, the level of professionalism has really increased! I love booking on-line now. It says a lot about a place when they have the same employees year after year. See you again soon!

Don’t bother. They obviously don’t put any care or maintenance into their cabin accommodations or the communial bathhouse. There is a difference between rustic & cared for and just plain crappy. Miller’s landing is just crappy. The youth working the front dest & phones don’t give a rip so don’t bother complaining.
