Took the ferry to Bainbridge Island late afternoon, and enjoyed a beautiful trip across the water. Comfortable inside seating, and outdoor sun deck. Food and drink available for the 30 minute ride. Bikes and cars allowed.

We Took the ferry from an island back to Seattle, it ran very smoothly and was very quick to load and unload. It’s really worth doing just for the boat ride. I highly suggest riding the ferry if you are in Seattle, there are several places that you can take it to, any of them are fine. just a ride somewhere and back is really fun and it’s very inexpensive if you’re not taking your car.

I went to Bainbridge Island via ferry on a clear, sunny day and I can recommend it. It’s an easy 30 minute ride with a round ticket costing $8.35. We had a wander around the lovely village on the island, did some shopping, had a delicious lunch and headed back to Seattle. Boarding was quick and our ferries weren’t crowded, so we could sit wherever we liked.

What trip to Seattle would be complete without a ferry ride? Even if you only have time to take one over ‘somewhere’ and one back, do
It. This time we rode to Bainbridge and had the opportunity to stay there two nights. But, if we had only had a few minutes, we would have run to Mora’s for a scoop of ice cream.

We took the ferry from Anacordes to San Juan Island, and also from Coupeville to Port Townsend with a car. If you are sightseeing, they are great, relaxing, and you get to enjoy beautiful scenery. They were well maintained and comfortable.

Only issue we had - ferrys were running late one morning (by 35 minutes) and we were not told by the kiosk attendant and boarded the wrong ferry, basically killing an entire afternoon because we went to the wrong island. I’d suggest asking upon boarding if indeed you are heading where you intend ...
