I stayed at the Comfort In At The Zoo in January 2017 and liked it. So, I returned again in May 2017. Everything I said in January still holds. It is clean, quiet and reasonably priced. The front desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. When I walked into the room and heard loud snoring coming from the next room, the desk clerk quickly and cheerfully found me a different room. Breakfast had everything you could want, and no crowd in the breakfast room.

Still no elevator, so you have to carry your bags upstairs.

Room Tip: As for the first floor if you have heavy bags.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable. Only criticism was more attention could be given to maintaining food and accessories at breakfast buffet. If you want to be close to the zoo, this is as close as you will get. Also only a short distance to downtown and the Old Market district. If staying on a weekend, plan on a lot of kids being around, popular with families planning to go to the zoo.

The Comfort Inn is a good choice for budget travelers, with large rooms and helpful staff, but no elevator (two floors) and no computer or business center. The hotel is oddly situated on a dead-end street in a middle-class/working class neighborhood, next to the highway and across the highway from the world-famous zoo (we hear it's great although we did not have time to visit). There is a very busy McDonald's within walking distance and a fun, cheap Mexican restaurant (Los Portales) a few blocks away. Rooms are large with basic furniture (2 bedside tables, desk, arm chair, closet, bureau); everything is serviceable though not stylish. The bathroom is somewhat dated, with decent vanity space, and a good shower, although the shower head was very low - might be awkward for anyone over 5 feet 9. The best room is 261 (if you don't mind walking up the stairs). The room looks out on a small tree-shaded hillside at one end of the property, which gives a feeling of seclusion and privacy; and yet it is convenient to the lobby and the breakfast area.

Room Tip: Room 261 is ideal - quiet, overlooking trees, yet close to lobby

Very easy to find and close to interstates. Staff were very helpful. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast area is very spacious and food was fresh and varied. Will absolutely stay at this location again.

Unfortunately, we were unable to stay at the Comfort Inn at the Zoo in Omaha, NE. The day before we were to leave, I checked our status online and the hotel had posted that the pool was closed! I called them directly to confirm and we decided not to stay as we were taking grandkids with us and the pool was a very important item!! Therefore, I cannot rate this hotel.

Stayed: March 2017, travelled with family
