After reading all the reviews we sought out the Blue Coast particularly to sample the Meze platter for two. We were very disappointed as this does not represent our experience of an authentic meze which should be a small plate with a mix of tasty bites to share.

We have found out that portions in most tavernas here are unusually large and this was no exception; the platter could have easily served 4-6 people. However it was the content that was our main criticism, there were very large dollops of dips including the spicy cheese dip, not very nice bread, two huge deep fried cheese rolls, cheese stuffed pepper, all in all a greasy, calorific nightmare which was well below expectations.

On the other hand the chicken souvlaki and pork chop were beautifully cooked although let down by the frozen tasteless chips.

The service was good and we were dissuaded from ordering too much in view of the size of the meze. The cost was reasonable but the food was catering for mass tourism and not offering the best of authentic Greek food.

To sum up, great cooking of meat dishes, shame about the rest.

Thank apbt

During our week long stay in Syvota we went to this restaurant 3 times simply because we couldn't find a better restaurant. The restaurant is located on the end of the harbor walk and has just half as many tables as the competitors, resulting in a cozier atmosphere and better service. The staff is really kind and asks you if you actually want bread and not just puts it on your table and charge you for it.

They serve traditional greek cuisine and all the dishes we had was delicious. Prices are affordable. Go here and you won't be disappointed. Only thing to keep in mind is that the starters are quite large (especially if you have the meze platter for two) so my tip is to order the starters, eat them and then order you main courses (or just split one main course).

Visited this place 3 times during our 1 week stay in Sivota, once for lunch and twice for dinner. This place became our favorite place to dine after trying most of the other nearby restaurants.

The restaurant is well situated with nice views to the harbour, the general decor is traditional greek tavern -like and the ambience warm and lively especially in the evenings.

The food was generally very tasty, especially from the starter menu the steamed mussels were divine and the meze platter for two and greek salad was very good and much recommended.

From the main courses we tried a few fish dishes which were also very fresh and tasty. Also the freshly baked bread was excellent. The only slight disappointment was the moussaka which was lacking some body and flavour. From the drink menu we tried both the house red and white wine, both fairly food considering the price.

The service was friendly and fairly swift, and the general price range in the restaurant was good, considering the quality of the food.

Would definitely visit again.

I took a group of 15 there last night. Venue very nice and clean. Everybody enjoyed the service. Big disappointment when tried to pay the €135 bill. The owner said the POS was not working. This was what Greece was like when I first started coming here. Cash only and no receipt.
