No need to stop here. It is fenced off an no longer is an active tourist place :-( We were doing a Route 66 drive and this was on our list. Pretty much bummed out.

This site has been closed and dismantled since the death of the owner. Some of the memorabilia has been shifted to Fulgenzi's around the corner on Sangamon Avenue across from the state fair grounds.

Passed here a few years ago while travelling route 66 and since then the place has been cleared and items possible sold off. Shame really but building still there and looks good.

Just the shell of a white building with a fence around it. Very disappointing that this couldn't have been preserved.

We visited Shea’s gas station in early June 2015 on a route 66 bus tour. Sadly it was closed and surrounded by barriers. There were notices on the barriers with a date set for everything to be sold at auction. Sadly we were probably one of the last tours to see it .
