This was booked by the tour company that I sign up with . it was near the different sites that the tour company set up to see I stayed there for 2 nights . The room was small but very clean and all rooms were on the first floor so no climbing or waiting for the elevator.

The food was made very well and good it as sit up on the second floor because that were the dining room was , a very beautiful view of the area and mountains . There were two hot tubs and the water was set at 100 F . There was the changing room close but with the temperature was 30 F so you would run to the room to change . and after that go to the room . There is nothing to walk to just one store across the street so having a car or bus is important .

Room Tip: all rooms a quite

We stay here for one night. We stay in a very beautiful bungalow. Actually we got half of it. There were hot tub in our back yard. Room was big and clean and etc. Breakfast was nice. Dinner was good taste but huge plate. I couldn't eat it all.

I really love this hotel.

Stayed one night in early March 2018.
Lovely modern hotel, helpful staff, incredible dinner in the bistro (you can have a buffet upstairs or eat in the bistro downstairs - I'd recommend the Bistro, the fish was excellent. It was expensive but that is Iceland - the hotel and meal were our indulgence for the holiday). Breakfast had a good range of food.
Rooms were small but clean and warm which is important!
The outdoor sauna rooms and hot tubs are a brilliant added bonus (robes in your room) - it was a sunny day when we arrived so we took the opportunity to relax in the sun in the hot tubs, and then later in the evening we enjoyed gazing up at the stars - sadly no northern lights that night (take a hat though as having your head outside the water is cold!) An amazing experience.

I rarely write a complaining review but I must say the shower in our bathroom was of terrible design. There was no ridge nor obvious slope to prevent the water from running all over the floor - such a safety hazard. And no bath mat, so we mopped up the floor with our two hand towels. Also I felt as if I was stuffed in a shoe box as the room was tiny and the bed narrow, and we are both small people. On a positive note, both breakfast and dinner were very nice buffets. And it was also great to catch happy hour. From the outside, the wings of rooms look like metal storage unit facilities in the US, but they were modern and adequate on the inside. In Hella there are not many options for overnight guests.
