“Great place for bands - either Upstairs or Downstairs”

The Middle East Restaurant and Nightclub
Reviewed 12 October 2011

Both of the venues at the MIddle East are great places to see your favorite indie acts when they come through town.

Middle Eastern restaurant with 3 different rooms serves straight up middlle eastern (kebabs, salads, hummous, felafel, kibbeh) or more esoteric at Zuzu next door. 3 different venues (Upstairs - a room for about 200, Downstairs - about 600 and The Bakery which is free) attached to the restaurants provide rockin' entertainment 7 nights a week. If you yearn to meet the young hip rock kids of Boston with the piercings and the haircuts and the angst and see the musics they love (national and local indie rock mostly) this is a very hot spot.
