We spent an extended Easter weeekend in Is Morus Relais and enjoyed its generous park, beaches and pool area. The Relais offers the perfect spot for any mood. Its quiet and peaceful park with spectacular views is definitely its big asset. The Relais has two excellent sandy beaches and one rocky beach. The pool is big and nice.
We stayed in a room in the main house, as the bungalows were not yet fully operating. We asked to be moved to the upper floor after the first night because the ground floor rooms had little light and were a bit smelly. On the first floor the view was spectacular and the room was light with a lovely balcony. Internet functioned perfectly.
Bar and breakfast of the hotel were good. We did not try the restaurant, as it somehow did not really appeal to us.
Staff was trying to be helpful but could be better trained; we had to insist on anything we asked for. Their mediocre English skills did not help.
The downside of the hotel is its remote location; expect to drive 30-40min to Cagliari and the next highway, depending on traffic. Any sightseeing on the island is a lengthy drive. On the positive side the hotel is very quiet.

Room Tip: Insist on a room on the first floor!

The hotel location and beach are fantastic .The Hotel has an old fashioned feel to it with the rooms a good size with nice views over the bay from the first floor rooms
Dinner the first evening was disappointing and was expensive for what was served up
They have a restaurant overlooking the beach which is hardly ever open and never in the evening. You have to go into the lounge to get a drink during the day. You are then forced to go into the local town where there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The local taxi are rediculously expensive and seem to charge what they like. Solution hire a car and eat out every night which the majority of the hotel guest do. A great shame for such a great spot

Stayed here for 10 days in August, and had a wonderful relaxing holiday. The grounds and positioning of the hotel are perfect and I really cannot relate our stay to some of the negative comments on this site. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the quiet and relaxed feel of the hotel was just what we required. The only part of the hotel that could do with organising better is the restaurant, breakfast could be better, but is acceptable. What breakfast really requires is some kind of service, everything is done by yourself and all it would take would be at least tea or coffee fetched to your table, this is a minor point but an accident is just waiting to happen with guests wandering around with hot tea and coffee. Evening meal is ok but not enough choice and no menu on show during the day informing guests what the menu is for that evening. We ate every day at lunch at the beach bar and the food was very good, along with a first class bar drinks menu. We booked a car from Euro Car in Pula and this worked very well for us. We ate in Pula most nights, which is at most 15 min from the hotel. This is a lovely small town, with a good selection of restaurants and cafes, and we did not have one bad meal. There is also a good Pizza restaurant a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. We had a ground floor sea view room at the hotel which was kept very clean and tidy and we had no issues with the room at all. The setting of the hotel is stunning with beautiful private beaches. If the sea was a bit rough then there was a weed problem (this was proof that the sea was clean and healthy) but this was quickly cleared off the sand and the tide took out the rest off the weed to leave the sea clean and clear the next day. In all I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a calm, relaxing stress free holiday in a beautiful setting on a perfect island.

Room Tip: Upstairs with a sea view are the best

PROS:

Very very good complex
Great ambiance
super tranquality
amazing nature

CONS:

Zero commercial awareness

Food and beverage options were too limited

A lot of areas are not being used

There is no food & becerage service to the pool and beach, you have to go to the bar inside the hotel to bıy drinks. Unbelievable!

Gery fee waitresses in the restaurant, only one of them is aıthorized to take orders, ao you have to wait wait and wait.

I have to say that there were positives. The sea was warm, the weather was great and there was a working air conditioner in the room. This is important as it probably was the one and only thing in the whole hotel that was actually working. Everything good about this hotel doesn't actually depend on the hotel. It's just a great location. Now onto the things which turned a 'luxury holiday' into causes of arguments, stress and dissatisfaction. I have to say that most of the things said on the website simply aren't true. The biggest lie is "free wifi on all of the territory of the hotel". It does not work anywhere. Not the villas, not the beach, not even the main building. The staff can only make a sad face and apologise for how it is in this hotel. You cannot communicate with the outside world which isn't too bad if you're a 90 year old couple. Otherwise you will be constantly irritated. Lie number 2 is room service. If the hotel management is reading this, please understand that coming all the way to the restaurant from a villa to order the food, wait for it to be prepared, then, collect it and go back (if you don't want to pay €20 PER PERSON) is not 'room service'. It is the lack of service. I could turn this review into a novel of how not to run the hotel. Nearly everything there was wrong. From the lazy waiters who said there was no ice in the restaurant and had to be pushed to go and get some from the bar to the leaks in bathrooms which take days to fix; from €60-€90 (probably depending on the driver's mood) for a 10 minute drive to the nearest town to a stupid charge of €5 to use the gym. I guess the logic is 'if you pay over a €1000 per night you may as well pay extra 5 to be fit'. The most annoying thing is that you have to fight for everything if you want to get it, as paying for it is not enough. You can't relax in one of the most beautiful places. It really is! It could have been a great hotel if there was a lot of money invested into it and professional staff was hired, but for now it is honestly, without exaggeration, the worst hotel I have ever been to.
