Carrytown is unique if you are interested in that sort of thing but by all means go to the Can Can restaurant. Great food and service in an old time atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.

Eclectic collection of one of a kind, very local shops, restaurants, and boutiques. Walking down the street, dropping into the farmers market, having a quick bite or lunch or dinner in one of many of Richmonds best restaurants, this is a very in, happening area.

Carytown is an awesome place to hang out. There are neat shops and plenty of food options. You can walk up one side of the street and down the other and simply go in and out of eateries and boutique shops.

In the back alleys are hidden pieces of art like the Mural behind Carytown bicycles. Parking can be tough so we walked in or rode bikes.

Busy strip of (seemingly) mediocre restaurants and clothing stores. We couldn't understand the point - maybe all appealing to college students? But why was there a Penzey's spices!

Yummy restaurants and lots of nice boutiques. Very few major chains more local small bysinesses. On street parking can be a little hard to find. Nice place to stroll around on a warm night.
