I have been visiting the Veneto Region, especially Mirano for 7-8 years now, and have eaten in many restaurants locally - and this is simply the best!!
Being a relatively new restaurant, I was excited to see what it offered, and I was not disappointed!
I had driven past a few times, and what first struck me was the excellent look of the restaurant - there is lots of plants and flowers surrounding the exterior of the property, and there is a nice little patio area to the front of the building - all very inviting. I noticed people enjoying drinks outside, as well as dinner on the patio.
I went on a Saturday lunchtime to eat, and was greeted my the manager, Giorgia (excellent level of English!), who offered me a table inside, but due to nice weather I sat outside. Whilst inside, however, I did appreciate the interior - with a real rustic feel, and nice touches, like a piano in the corner, and plenty of seating of all different styles, and spectacular lighting!
The other benefit of the interior, is the openness of the kitchen - it is completely visible to clients, and you can see the wonderful creations in action from the high-quality chefs.
I did peruse the menu for a while, but opted to get a recommendation from the Manager herself, who didn't only just suggest dishes to my taste, but paired with a wine to suit.
I had the Caramelised Figs, with Bresaola, on top of a bed of sublime soft cheese for a first dish, followed by Cinghiale (Wild Boar) pasta dish - and both were superb, and were presented in a simple yet stylish way (fitting in perfectly with the style of the restaurant!). I had tried the Wild Boar dish previously in Tuscany, from where it originates..but I have to admit that the Venetians have perfected it!! The wine that was paired with it made the whole experience even better!
I also had a coffee and a bottle of water and was happy to pay the £20 approx for such a delightful lunch.
The restaurant is just a short walk from the towns main square, and has a big car park just 30 seconds away from the front door. I came back on Sunday evening just to have a drink (a very wide selection of drinks!!), and noticed how busy the restaurant was - the word seems to be spreading!!
I learnt that the restaurant is also open for Breakfast/Brunch most days - which I shall be trying upon my return!
