I have been visiting the Veneto Region, especially Mirano for 7-8 years now, and have eaten in many restaurants locally - and this is simply the best!!
Being a relatively new restaurant, I was excited to see what it offered, and I was not disappointed!
I had driven past a few times, and what first struck me was the excellent look of the restaurant - there is lots of plants and flowers surrounding the exterior of the property, and there is a nice little patio area to the front of the building - all very inviting. I noticed people enjoying drinks outside, as well as dinner on the patio.

I went on a Saturday lunchtime to eat, and was greeted my the manager, Giorgia (excellent level of English!), who offered me a table inside, but due to nice weather I sat outside. Whilst inside, however, I did appreciate the interior - with a real rustic feel, and nice touches, like a piano in the corner, and plenty of seating of all different styles, and spectacular lighting!
The other benefit of the interior, is the openness of the kitchen - it is completely visible to clients, and you can see the wonderful creations in action from the high-quality chefs.
I did peruse the menu for a while, but opted to get a recommendation from the Manager herself, who didn't only just suggest dishes to my taste, but paired with a wine to suit.
I had the Caramelised Figs, with Bresaola, on top of a bed of sublime soft cheese for a first dish, followed by Cinghiale (Wild Boar) pasta dish - and both were superb, and were presented in a simple yet stylish way (fitting in perfectly with the style of the restaurant!). I had tried the Wild Boar dish previously in Tuscany, from where it originates..but I have to admit that the Venetians have perfected it!! The wine that was paired with it made the whole experience even better!
I also had a coffee and a bottle of water and was happy to pay the £20 approx for such a delightful lunch.
The restaurant is just a short walk from the towns main square, and has a big car park just 30 seconds away from the front door. I came back on Sunday evening just to have a drink (a very wide selection of drinks!!), and noticed how busy the restaurant was - the word seems to be spreading!!
I learnt that the restaurant is also open for Breakfast/Brunch most days - which I shall be trying upon my return!

After reading several excellent reviews , I decided to pay the recently opened restaurant 'Horteria' a visit with my friends.

The restaurant was easy to find and is within walking distance of a free big parking place.
Horteria offers seating both indoors and outdoors.
Upon entry we were kindly greeted and escorted to our seats; the restaurant itself has a rustic and sophisticated interior.

Giorgia (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) was our host for the evening.
Because our group consisted of non-Italians, we were not familiair with all of the apperitives and dishes. Luckily Giorgia was more than willing to answer our questions regarding the cuisine and gave us individual advice based upon our preference for certain flavours.

I ordered the 'Noodle in brodo' (antipasto) to start with and the 'Filetto Tartufato' (secundo) as a main course. I ended my culinairy experience with a 'Cheesecake con frutti di bosco'.
The well-presented dishes were of a decent size and reasonably priced.

Great food is not only about preparing it correctly: it starts with honest and fresh ingredients, a concept Horteria has clearly mastered.

When I'll come back to Italy, I will definitely visit this restaurant again.
