I heard of this restaurant looking a tv program on the venician traditional cusine. This says why, when we decided to try it, l was expecting something memorable. Unfortunatly the diner did't match the expectations. Honestly: the food was good, professionally prapared. And the service was also decent. But not as much as it coud be if your luck drive you to one of that rare countryside venecian trattoria where food quality, recepy semplicity and service friendiness make your meal a life esperience.

The patio of this rather upmarket ‘osteria’ (more like a trattoria or a ristorante) was nothing less than splendid raising our expectations.

The starter of fruits de mer with polenta was fresh and a true blessing for the taste buds.

The tagliatelle with mushrooms was a bit too salty, but at least with competently prepared pasta.

The accompanying white wine (Livio Felluga) was excellent and, given the retail price of around 20 Euro, reasonably priced at 28 Euro.

Service was friendly and the bill including mineral water, wine and espresso for two persons came to 100 Euro.

Buon ristorante!

Very friendly and attentive family and staff. The restaurant is one of the best we visited in 3 months travelling overseas, seemingly simple but beautiful dishes with the freshest ingredients and fantastic taste. A little expensive but worth every cent!

Had tried to go to this restaurant in August bus was closed. Drove past again this week and the lights were on so decided to give it a try.

The restaurant is in a lovely location some way from the centre of Mirano. We received a very friendly reception and were shown to a table in a relatively modern room. English menus were provided which was great.

The menu is actually quite varied for the area with a good selection of fish and meat dishes.i had the stuffed courgette flowers for starter and Venetian liver for main and my wife had the scallops and lobster pasta. Both the starters were great, really tasty - real shame you can't get the courgette flowers in the UK.

My liver was excellent - really thin strips and a tasty sauce. Quantity was disappointing though. The pasta was very tasty but nothing special. Unusually we both had a dessert - tiramisu was excellent and the waffle was nice but a little rubbery rather than crisp.

So overall a very nice meal with excellent staff.
