I don't care if the building is a historical landmark the sight lines are awful. The floor is not canted enough to allow you to see the stage and the balcony and higher levels are not worth it. I'd rather see a performance on TV. I've been there for Alvin Alley Dancers 3 times, Young Frankenstein and The Jersey Boys to name a few, all in different seats. For dance you have to be able to see their feet, don't you think? But what choice do I have when "Hamilton" is only playing there?

Fox Theater is a real show place. The Moorish architecture is a real show piece. Seating on the main floor can be visually challenging. Probably a better sight line for a show would be the first balcony. Acoustics could be better as well. The large open venue makes it difficult to heard some of the dialogue in a musical. Plan on being there well before showtime since security lines can be long. This venue should not be missed since it is a classic building.

Went here for Nutcracker, the performance was colorful and stage was lit well for Audiences even on back row to see well. Curtain times and movement is strictly adhered and you may be placed on back row until scene is over.

A large group of friends attended an event last night. I love the Fox and always enjoy my visit but this was the first time I’d been with a friend who is physically handicapped. She walks with a can and was able to use the elevator before the show but it wasn’t running afterward. When she asked about it, she was told that there wasn’t an operator and ended up having to talk down the stairs. This is not acceptable!
