Owner description: Georgia Aquarium is the world's most magical aquarium. Situated near Centennial Olympic Park and World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta,Georgia, Georgia Aquarium offers its guests an experience like no other. Across six separate galleries, with more than 70 amazing habitats, 10 million gallons of water and thousands of species of marine animals, guests will marvel at, learn about and come to better understand such majestic aquatic animals as whale sharks, manta rays, dolphins, beluga whales, sea otters, African penguins and thousands of species of exotic fish and other animals. The spectacular AT&T Dolphin Tales show combines incredible natural animal behaviors with dynamic theatrics, a Broadway-inspired musical score and a compelling story, which together underscore the connection between humans and the animal world. The animated "Deepo's Undersea 3D Wondershow," for all ages, tells an entertaining but important story about conserving and protecting animals and their natural environment. Cafe Aquaria offers delicious sandwiches, salads, pizza, pasta and delectable desserts. Two gift shops give visitors the chance to take home a treasured collectible. Special animal encounter programs offer the chance to go behind the scenes and come face-to-face with dolphins, sea otters and penguins. Guests can even swim or dive with whale sharks and manta rays in the world's largest aquarium habitat (at 6.3 Million gallons), Ocean Voyager built by the Home Depot. And an onsite parking deck immediately adjacent to the aquarium means quick, easy-to-find and affordable parking.

Largest aquarium in the hemisphere, previously the world. Very busy place but doing a few things in advance will make your day much more enjoyable- buy tickets ahead, arrive EARLY. We arrived at 8:30 on Spring Break Saturday and crowds were no issue until about 11. Parking no issue then either. That was awesome! Don’t go hungry - water/soda alone in gift shop was almost $5. Plan on arriving early to the included shows- ie 30 mind. The whale sharks and manta rays were AMAZING! Hard to imagine animals this large in captivity. In other areas there were overhead tanks which was awesome. Hoping to return in the future to scuba dive which they offer for a fee $$$ with advanced registration. So cool!

I love visiting Aquariums. This one didn't disappoint. I visited during an adult night and hours, so I didn't have to wait behind children and there weren't really any lines. It made things so much easier. There is plenty to see at this aquarium but my favorite exhibits included the piranhas and the sharks. The only thing is, I did not get to see any of the shows. They are not offered during the adult hours. I hope to return in the near future.

We've visited (and liked) many Aquariums from Chattanooga's to Baltimore's and more, but this one has quickly become our favorite. We recently took our whole family here on a visit and enjoyed ourselves tremendously. My mom needs a wheelchair due to cancer - they offer them free and workers nicely assist as needed. The dolphin show is superb - we watched it twice (it's not always the exact same show). The dining options are varied and good (only thing we tried that we didn't like was the pizza). The attractions are set up as spokes on a wheel making it very easy to see what one wants, when one wants, and as many times as one wants (in contrast to the aquariums set up as one or two long paths). Belugas, mantas, whale sharks, sea lions, otters, puffins, penguins, colorful fish of all sorts - very, very nice family vacation (perhaps my mom's last, so extra wonderful memories for us all).
